Wife just told me that Cole Carter's parents house burned up last night (2012 MSU signee). Don't know all the details regarding it. He is a fellow Caledonia guy like me so word got around quickly out here.

If anyone wants to help them out you can call Loox Salon (356-6900) to send money or donate items. We are a small town so the Hair Salon seems to be the focal point of this effort (hahaha).

Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know and try to increase help for them.

Still don't know all of the details about how bad it was. Will update as I find out.

Better call Bracky Brett first to get permission, I'm kidding to an extent, but w/ NCAA and Black Bears around who knows.

Seriously. Clear it with the compliance office before you give him anything. Sucks, but someone could get us in trouble by doing the right thing.

Honestly....

Seriously. Clear it with the compliance office before you give him anything. Sucks, but someone could get us in trouble by doing the right thing.

17 the NCAA and any tsun individual who would stir something up off this. I would be done with any type of college sports forever if they started something. The donation is to help his family. 17 Bracky Brett too on top of that.

The NCAA once punished a school whose coach attended the funeral of a recruit's mother.

In 1994, Utah basketball player Keith Van Horn's father died. Coach Rick Majerus had to tell him the bad news. They went to eat at a deli at 3 AM before Van Horn's 8 AM flight home. Majerus paid for the meal (less than $10). He got in trouble with the NCAA.

NCAA can be some unforgiving sumbitches.

This. It's ridiculous, but check. Somebody getting a clear answer to this might enable the family to get more donations--assuming it's okay.

Or write Hotty Toddy in the "for" line of the check.

Just give anonymously... or using the name of someone who is not a member of the Bulldog Club(The NCAA does not consider these people "boosters"). Very easy work-arounds that allow you to be generous while also protecting MSU in the process.

This

No way they can know who anonymous is, though I am sure Bracky Brett will work countless hours trying to figure it out
