It going to be really embarrassing for the Pirates if he makes another start in AAA. Simply absurd that they're sticking with contract manipulation when their ML team is playing well and needs him

He shouldn't be on a minor league team for another game. Embarrassing for the Pirates if they waste another pitch in the minors. Bring him up as a reliever if needed, but the best pitcher in the your org can't be in AAA and these types of numbers

They want lower innings to begin the year so that when they call him up he's still got tons of innings left before reaching his yearly limit.

Years ago, the Nationals pitched Strasburg too much early in the season in the minors & he didn't have innings left at the end of the year when they need him.

Prospect have very set innings limits to improve the chances of them remaining healthy.
