Yep. The change in offense ( going outside in instead of forcing inside to Oscar always has made a huge difference. Toppin is looking like the NBA starter I expect he will be in a few years.

Lot of coaching criticism around this board, but subbing Collins for Oscar at the end to prevent a silly 2nd foul was a smart move.
It’s a typical move. A smart move would be changing defense about every 2 mins like Bobby Hurley did with Arizona state today.

They did hold Arizona to five points over their season average (51% from floor and 42% from three). That’s…not good defense.
Never said their defense was great. Said it was a smart coaching move. Plus they won at Zona. C’mon dude.

It’s a good win for ASU, no doubt. Just not a great example of a smart coaching move. Hurley’s defense got torched all day. They just did the same to Arizona. I get it, though, you want Cal to play some zone. Anyone who does is smart.

To further defend Hurley's coaching, ASU ran that final play just like the coach drew it up. 60 ft runner for a GW 3 PTer. Just like they practiced it. LOL
