About to enter into the world of a smart phone for the first time. Very late to the party i know. Pretty set on going with the new IPhone5. But might consider a Samsung or new RAZR depending on the responses here. But what are the pros/cons of each in trying to follow MSU Sports:
(1) Can any log into the MSU media site and stream audio radio broadcasts?
(2) What about live stattrackers from either MSU or ESPN or what have you?
(3) How well does Sixpackspeak.com work on each?
(4) Does each phone/neither phone/one phone let you stream XM if you have an XM radio account?

Anything else I Know. As far as I know, the biggest con is that IPhone doesn't support Flash. Anything that would goof me up with in terms of

Thanks,

I have a Droid Razr Max. I got it for the battery life as it is dang near double most anything else on the market. It can do just about anything a computer can do, although I HATE typing on it (had blackberry forever and got used to having a keyboard).

The iphone is simpler to use, tougher to screw up and all the apps in the store are bullet proof. However, I 17'ing hate itunes. Rarely do I ever use it.

An android phone is more customizable, operates more like a conventional computer and sometimes you get apps that are a little buggy with whatever version you're running.

I've used an iphone for 4 years and helped my wife limp along with 2 different android phones for her job. She finally got swapped over to apple and it was like she got out of jail. She'll never go back. Me?.. I could always understand the android OS and enjoyed the way it handled file storage, but it was a nightmare for her.

But it's a big decision if you use your phone constantly throughout every business day like I do. You're not just buying a phone... you're buying access to the OS's ecosystem.

And let me add if you're opting for Motorola (now owned by Google), I'd wait a month or so for this to drop: http://www.bgr.com/2012/09/18/motorola-razr-i-release-date-specs/

Get an iPhone. Everything in the world almost has apps and stuff for iPhones, making it so easy to use.

For example, my Yamaha receiver for my surround sound has an app I can get for free from the app store to control the volume and settings.

The ONLY thing the Droids are better for is Flash player.

*** I wanted to add that I would have got another Blackberry if it hadn't been $50 more expensive than the iPhone. And I'll probably have a different opinion about the iPhone Verizon kicks me off of unlimited data.

A quick search of the play store shows the same app for Android. Both OSs have their faithfull followers. To simply claim one is better than the other simply isn't correct. It all depends on what you're looking for in a device. I personally have had both and wouldn't pisses on an iphone if it was on fire but it took years to form that opinion.
