State sets the way up, gentry has no decision,Real talk, Murphy played a good game. Both teams were sloppy with turn overs. Murphy gave Cherokee every opportunity to win. Just didn't want it. Hats off to Murphy. The conference champion getting drawn in a hat I I was told is what Gentry(Murphy)voted for. Cherokee got the big straw for the night. Good luck to y'all if you go Big, if not until we meet again.

I know that feeling. How about not changing what was working for us, as in moving players around for the last and most important game of he season. We are definitely capable to sub the qb out on defense.
One thing for sure we need one of the biggest strongest most athletic kids we have on field not on sideline
What!!??? That's very a vague response!! Are you Talkin numbers of kids on tha team or size!!!??? Your outta your mind thinkin 14 can beat a team of 30 or 40!! I know only 11 can get on tha field but tha same wore out bodies against new, energized, hydrated bodies in the 4th quarter makes a big difference!!!! Murphy bulldogs, north Carolina, Cherokee county, head coach David gentry coachin staff get away from numbers don't matter mentally!!????!! They moved like 10 kids from jvs to a 30 man varsity roster, and it's been like that as long as I can remember!!! You crazy and should've just said nothin!!!!!
Moped is one of the most football savvy posters on here....period. I’d give him your ear.
Not at all knocking Cherokee, my man. I just commented on a philosophy and you asked for clarification. I think the greatest thing Coach Briggs has brought to the program (visible to outsiders) is getting great buy in. Cherokee used to have holes here and there between its great athletes, but they’ve patched those holes with kids rising to the occasion—and there is no greater success in education than getting kids to succeed beyond expectations—and I personally hope it’s the sign of more positives to come.
