and his recruitment wasn't a State/UM battle. I know this will draw the typical remarks, but we really did back off of Cot-ton.
I meant it more that both teams were recruiting him at least a little. I know it wasn't a battle like Patterson/Rockin the Deuce. If I recall correctly, Rosebowl said he overthrew a receiver by like 30 yards and his pass ended up in the stands. Granted, it could have been one bad pass that slipped, but I enjoy the visual.

Have you ever been to Stephenville, TX? It's smaller than Oxford. And further away from Fort Worth than Oxford is to Memphis.

He may not have been happy in Oxford, but it has nothing to do with the size of the community.

What happened to the guy OM signed from Lousiville? Did he quit?

Also, I think Snead will be the next John Fourcade/Rufus French...if he gets drafted at all he'll go in the 6th or 7th round...I cant imagine what people could see from any tapes this year that would make them want to draft him...not to mention he threw 3 picks in the Cotton Bowl.

Give this guy a real QB coach and a NFL caliber O-Line and he can make it in the NFL after a little learning curve. Jevan had to know he would not learn any or progress any more under Houston Nutt. Hell one more year with Nutt/Austin and he might have been completely un-draftable.

If that kid from Kansas State can get drafted and start in the NFL then Snead can too. Hey the Raiders need a new QB!

Reminds me of how many people liked us from 2004-2008
Soooo many people I talked to loved Croom and thought he was a great guy. However, these fans were all fans of other SEC West schools.

the last (#1 pick in the draft Jevan) 6 games? Were they behind the 3 TD's in the first half of the Vandy game, or the 3 picks in the second half? Can they take credit for good Jevan in the Arkansas, UT and LSU games, or are they to blame for bad Jevan in the OSU, MSU, and Bama games? Or maybe he's just a f'in head case.

Nutt is a f`in head case too. Great motivator but somebody needed to be the straight guy in this relationship and both of these characters are a little whack. It`s obvious somebody in Snead`s camp didn` t think another year under Nutt would benefit Jevan.

is going to let a two year starter at QB (with two Cotton Bowl victories) WHO IS NOT READY FOR THE NFL DRAFT go into the draft a year early because his dad is out of a job? Sounds like you are dreaming up another damn movie to me.

The fact that her son is 3rd team at USC, and couldn't crack the starting lineup over a true freshman, looks like she was completely right.

yea, they might take care of him while Snead is at Ole Miss. But what the hell is the guy going to do once Snead leaves Ole Miss.

except he`d be doing it with a much richer son drafted in possibly the first or second round after a solid senior year rather than a son who may (and I emphasize may) get drafted in the fourth or fifth round after having a ****** junior year. The upside for the kid are way way more than the downside to the dad`s having to accept temporary employment.

hell, next year he could suck even worse and not even play the last half of the season. He has an opportunity to make $500K to $1 million. I would leave if I was him as well.
