I’m amazed at the number of threads you guys have started about sanders this week. I get liking how cocky the guy is and how cocky his dad is…. But you guys act like he murdered someone. I guess I’m just indifferent to the guy. I definitely don’t understand the amount of hate he’s getting from this board.
Why can't we just celebrate the guys from State that got drafted?
I don’t hate the guy, I hate that he is what football has become.
I can understand that… I guess I think there have always been super cocky football players. Certainly more media coverage and access to the players personality now though.
It’s probably people turned off At the ungodly level of self promotion and media hype for a player who really isnt very good. Poor mechanics holds on to the ball too long and mediocre to weak arm. As one nfl executive put it “he would be a backup in the sec”
Hate? He didn't get drafted when some so called experts thought he would but fell to where others thought he may and below. What do you consider hate? Because some were wrong you think the ones that were right were hating? The Sanders Machine has pumped him as a can't miss Top 5 pick for 2 years (for their own gain) but that doesn't mean others were wrong and hating on him when they actually were right
I don’t like that he’s been made out to be some type of martyr. Because I agree with you……he doesn’t matter at all.
The Sanders supporters are dumber than the haters, in my opinion. But this will be a non-story tomorrow, now that he got drafted.
If he had just transferred away from his dad and showed the world of football, he can make it on his own. He probably would have drafted higher. Can he make it in the big-time college or NFL without his dad? From high school to college, he had his father making sure he started. He never faced a challenge for his QB position. That's not building the character that GMs are looking for. No and I mean no adversity playing football. It was just a bad perception and the GM's were just turned off.
He'll be lucky to be the next Cooper Rush.
Maybe a touch more talent, with significantly less everything else.
