Fact:Please keep this one about the university area/travel for those interested in going. For anyone familiar with the city or university area, where are the fun places to stay, what are other things to do nearby?
I was only in Eden Prairie, and it was on business, so I have a limited point of view. We did go on a boat tour of Lake Minnetonka. It is beautiful. We launched out of Excelsior. Some very large homes on that lake, founder of 3M's being one of them. Please keep this one about the university area/travel for those interested in going. I always recommend staying in downtown Saint Paul at the Drury or Saint Paul Hotel. STP has access to I-94, metro/bus lines and is only 8 minutes away from the stadium and about 10 minutes away from downtown Minneapolis. If you can’t stay there, stay in any of the hotels near the Mall of America, which again is close to both cities. Please keep this one about the university area/travel for those interested in going. Sounds birth or death week in Tupelo. It never ceases to amaze me at the number of foreign tourists that show up for that stuff.ETA: I was there during the annual birthday celebration of Prince. Lot of prince fans fly in for that. I did not attend.
Second the Drury in St Paul.. Also went to the Bulldog because of the name. Jimmy John's real close to the Drury if you want real fancy eatingI always recommend staying in downtown Saint Paul at the Drury or Saint Paul Hotel. Tryto atleast get to the Mall, and either explore West 7th/downtown Saint Paul and the Cathedral, or uptown Minneapolis and the chain of lakes. Downtown Minneapolis and North Loop I also recommend.
Food wise, get a juicy lucy at Shamrock Nook on west 7th, and the Lost Fox in dwntwn STP is great. There is a nice bar called the bulldog in saint paul that I go to bc of the name (its decent food wise). Minneapolis food scene is phenomenal and its hard to really narrow down options. Pimento’s in uptown and Momo Sushi in NE are favs. There is a deli called Clancey’s in Powderhorn where the owner will rib you but it has the best chopped cheese I’ve ever had.
Wisconsin is like a 20 minute drive over. For people that like beer, go to Hudson and get spotted cow. Best beer I’ve had, plus Hudson and Stillwater are gorgeous along the St. Croix. You have to be in Wisconsin for spotted cow though.
These are not easily confused for one another if you've been to both.So Lake Minnetonka or Lake Tiak O Khata????
So Lake Tiak O Khata wins, right? These are not easily confused for one another if you've been to both.
This seems like an appropriate time to revisit The Love Boat....presented by one, Frederick Smoot. VNSFW.I was only in Eden Prairie, and it was on business, so I have a limited point of view. Cool area. We ate at Maynards for dinner and did pull tabs with the locals then ended the night at local dive bar and did more pull tabs. If you go there, find a bar with pull tabs. It's a fun way to hang out. Also, got introduced to Mic Gold, which is localized to the extent that the bar code on the can is in the shape of MN. I cracked the code and figured out it is just a locally marketed version of Michelob Ultra Gold. It is a light beer that tastes like beer and is a local favorite.

Because the red hats love to spew the Faux News propaganda on the daily to appease their orange diaper lordI’m looking forward to going.
How do you f’ing idiots get the original post locked?
99% of us don’t care about your bickering about politics. If you want to argue that stuff, head over the political board on tigerdroppings, there’s all manner of willing participants to argue with.
Most of us have lives, enjoy ourselves, have wives/ GFs (sometimes both), touch grass and make the most of the short time we have here. We don’t want to hear your political ramblings.
Someone’s thong is in a bunch because he/she/they/them didn’t get to own them in the other thread.Because the red hats love to spew the Faux News propaganda on the daily to appease their orange diaper lord

Oddly specific.Turns out he is miserable due to having chronic c*ck breath after serving for years as a fluffer in gay porn.
Unfortunately ran across a Reddit post of him complaining about having to stand alone in his weekly support group "sky screaming" sessions. Plus they won't allow him anywhere near the therapy goats. Was that too specific?Oddly specific.

He has seen worse over the years
Unfortunately the one in saint paul (black sheep) closed. The one over in Uptown is still open though. Barrel Theory is great, Lake Monster and Surly is also fun too (close to stadium as well). Almost more breweries than churches now lolTrain stop close to the stadium. Brewery stops listed along the train route into St Paul. Barrel Theory in St Paul is excellent. Unless it went downhill, Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza was great.
Yeah, I saw they closed. There was another great brewery down the street from Black Sheep, Tin Whiskers..saw it closed during COVID. It was owned by a couple of electrical engineers. I think we hit 16 breweries in St Paul and Minny. Drury was a Embassy Suites back when I went.Unfortunately the one in saint paul (black sheep) closed. The one over in Uptown is still open though.
