Actually, they're about the 2nd or 3rd best team in the conference
I see them running the table, and dominating Alabama in the Iron Bowl. It's just that they ran into an infinitely superior Bulldog team from The Mississippi State University. They just need to accept their secondary status to tMSU and move on.

..problem is, Gene Chizik is the best coach for Auburn right now. They simply need to be patient with him...give him 5-10 more years to develop the program.

I believe AU is stuck with a Cam Newton curse now. They cheated to win a NC and their ****** coach has them by the balls now so they can't just fire him. They will go through a run of terrible QB's to try and get that magic Cam brought back but it won't happen again. I'm going to love every second of their misery. Hope we never lose to them again.

What's insane about the AU boards is....
not a single thread on that first page gives any credit to MSU just being better in every aspect of the game....(maybe not special teams) but you get the point....I sat at a bar in Baton Rouge with a bunch of hardcore LSU fans watching the game and those toads were like "WTF, Mullen seems to found his best team".....If a team is suppose to improve the most from week 1 to week 2, then we must be pretty sharp out there, because AU did some good things in a tight game with Clemson who is ranked....
i see a bunch of titties over there saying 6 TOs yada yada yada....but ****, its not like they just dropped the dam ball untouched, we created those TOs....
but like the thread started, no one over there gave MSU any credit and that is fine by me.....just reassures me that I am right when I quickly identify delusional fans....AU fans on that board are a prime example

What got me " a mediocre Mississippi State team at best"........ Comes close to the Bear self inflation.
Auburn was slowed by their weight of their guilt. The Mississippi State University was simply better, faster, and had more character.

Are we forgetting the greatness of that 3-2 schilacking we took at the hands of Auburn a few years ago? Therefore I would not focus that they went from one of the best to one of the worst, rather they have returned to what is comfortable and normal for the Tigers of Auburn!
What is so ironic is that if our defense had played worse and let auburn score more and it had been a closer game people would actually be thinking more highly of us and look at the game as a quality win. As it is, we made auburn look pathetic and everyone uses that to make us seem worse.
That just comes with the territory. The only way people will start giving us more credit is if we start posting wins like this on a consistent basis, year in and year out. Till then, we will always just be little old Mississippi State to most people. Have more years like 2010 or better within 3 to 5 years of consistency then people will have no choice but to notice.
Hi, new here, but thought this was a good time to jump in.
Let 'em all make the mistake of underestimating us. Let them wake up on Friday night, right before we play Alabama and we are 7-0. Then let them get nervous, and start talking trash like never before. Then watch us give Alabama a game from us that they haven't had in 50 years or more.
