Still looks good on them as of today. It should be noted that every team that MacKensie visits feel pretty good about him for a period of time, but I still really like our chances because(as of today) we are the only school that they've both visited, and everyone else seems to get alot of mixed messages from him, but what I've seen/heard toward us has been consistent from the very beginning.
Also alot of talk that Mackenro is a grade risk. Even if true, that still doesn't hurt our chances IMO. Their mom really wants to see them both play in a single trip -- which we offer with EMCC right up the road even if we can't get him in. And he'd still have at least 1 yr, possibly 2 yrs, to play with MacKensie...
The best way to assess this situation is by keeping up with Irvin-Sills -- since we probably only take one more at the CB position, and I'm still under the impression that Irvin-Sills really wants to be here.
One thing about this -- and it's rare for MSU -- we've got ALOT of circumstantial stuff going our way on this one. From Banks/Slay graduating and both now being projected as top 3 rounders, to the hiring of Deshea Townsend, to no immediate heir apparent as starters, to the Thorpe Trophy, to MacKensie being a kid that is all about business and preferring rural locations(per interviews about Clemson), etc... I'm not saying that we are going to get them -- I don't pretend to know -- but I like where we sit...
