So, do we get in the NIT or not?

We will probably get a bid just because of our conference record and perceived improvement down the stretch. But I don't think we deserve one.
I know he's going to be back next year and all with the contract extension...but for real...for real I'm over it. At least stop this circus show for this year. The Rick Stansburry Experiment has yielded sporadic and inconsistent results. Time to abandon.
Yeah, we underachieved hugely this year. Yeah, Stansbury lead a train wreck of a team this year. Yeah, his position needs to be seriously evaluated, but more games equals more playing time for players that will be back next year and players who don't want a loss to be their final game as a Bulldog. I don't know how some of you have been able to be State fans for very long when you implode after a bad loss or bad season. We have had a lot of them. No matter how much I am pissed at a coach or team, I still want what's best for them. In short, I care if we can get a few more games for our outgoing seniors and our underclassmen because it will be better for them as Bulldogs.
We have too many BAD losses to BAD teams, loses by 20 pts, bad rpi, strength of schedule and on and on. I will tell you this though, I bet there aren't too many NIT bound teams that would want to play us right now. If they look at the last stretch of the season, consider that we were 9-7 in conference play, finished 2nd in the SEC West, and look at the first stretch with the suspended players, they may give us some consideration, but I ain't gonna hold my breath that we make it.I hope we do though
We played a heck of a game. I hope we get an NIT bid. It has been a tough, tough season. See what happens but always gotta cheer for my team. Go Dawgs.
