Typical Petrino 2.0. 12 men on the field, stupid penalties, mistakes, poorly prepared. Screams at everyone during the game. Not the same coach.

How many illegal substitution penalties can we get...probably more than our point total for the game

Hey now, at least those pesky false start penalties have been corrected. Right?

Never mind. Sheez......Now the false starts are back. Pitiful.

I hope none of you expected anything else ! This game has no bearing whatsoever for crying out loud this is freaking Alabama they have more talent from top to bottom than the Cards. This team will do well against all the other opponents on their schedule watch and see. Alabama is just a pro team playing college ball. Not the idea game for a first time starer at QB period.

I never really expected a win, BUT I did expect stupid stuff not to happen. You don't see Alabama stepping on their dicks every 3rd down. Is it too much to ask for a team to be prepared to play and leave the middle school mistakes back in middle school? I know it's Alabama and they are great but this is absurd. Petrino makes millions of dollars to coach and he's not coaching. It's HIS job to eliminate the ignorance.

UofL could be up 21-0 and would still lose to Bama.
To many new players. Lamar's sophomore team could hang.
Theyre just on a different level.

To bad the Cards wont face another SEC team this year. Maybe in a bowl game.

i understand tour frustration but i'll change tune what you write sounds just like the way a former multi millionaire coach always had our team prepared to play against UK in BB. We always looked outclassed unprepared an if we just learned to play BB.

I like what I see from Puma. We're going to be OK for the season. We just have to stop screwing ourselves.

I've learned that the undisciplined plays from Bobby's teams are just a trade off we get in exchange for the aggressive style that leads to our high powered offenses.

What I've learned? They are Bama and we are not. Every so often (2006, 2016) we will have a team that competes with the big dogs, but we can't expect that every season with our recruiting rankings. Bama has 3rd stringers who are better than most of our starters. We have to build to those seasons. That's just where we are as a program. Next year and 2020 are poised to be big years with what we will have returning, this is just a bridge year.

Our fanbase has WAYYY too high expectations and puts us up there with Bama and Clemson, but we aren't there just yet. Maybe one day, but not now.

That's true. I won't be shedding any tears for Pitino or Petrino. I'm not a fan because of the coaches. I'm a fan because of the university. I really don't care who is coaching,

I think we will be okay as the season goes and I never expected a win. The thing that bothers me are the stupid penalties and the stupid comments before the game. Why talk trash when you're playing the number one team in the country.

Comments before the game where because the players an Bobby really truly understand and knew they had no chance whatsoever anything to mentally prepare you for the inevitable onslaught! If you knew you was going to get your *** handed to you all you can hope for is a little **** talk before it happens.maybe you scare your opponent boxers do this all the time .

Stupid decision by Petrino to throw it on 3rd down.

Difference in speed is demoralizing.

4 penalties for 12 men on the field.

Can’t get off the field on 3rd down.

Van Gorder>Petrino so far.

Lessons learned in the first half. Drive towards a good season start with the opening kick in the 2nd half.

focusing on the positives. our front seven is actually playing fairly well and offensive line, minus the two tip pass is protecting well.

We can’t run the ball and Bama is running mostly a basic cover 2. They have no fear of our offense.

Cold one(s) in hand...now just hoping we don’t get shutout, because Alabama can pick the score

This game was scheduled under the assumption that Petrino was actually building a program here similar to the one he built here before and at Arkansas. Too bad they didn't grasp he is a shell of the coach he used to be and probably should be coaching at a lower division program.

You'd be a fan of Brohm.
Not really. I like him but I'm a UofL fan first and foremost.

BTW, didn't Purdue get beat by Northwestern yesterday? At least we got beat by a pro team that plays in college. Northwestern? That program has been the UofK of the B1G forever.

Now just a minute! Northwestern had a couple of good seasons since (Uk’s) 1977 team. No reason to slander Northwestern.

I agree somewhat.

But if we’re going to charge “big boy” prices ($59 a tic) I want big boy performance. I’m over penalties and too many on the field.

Spare me the “someday” when you’re charging me today.

In the Army, we would rate Bobby's performance as a NoGo!

In the Air Force we called it a "FUBAR" event. Ffdd Up Beyond All Recognition. The longer the game went on the more it became so.

When Bama won the coin toss and elected to 'receive' it was obvious to me Saban knew the Cards could not stop them....and he choose to use a Bama perceived (and realized) strength against a perceived Cardinal weakness in the defense. I about fell out of my chair when the Tide elected to receive the ball.

How many more times this year do you think that will happen by them?

Side note: During their first drive, when Bama got a grossly unfair spot on the third down play on the sidelines to keep their momentum going (without so much as a review), I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach and remember thinking to myself....."Does Bama need any help from the refs to win this game?"

Really refs. Not!:oops:o_O...things seemingly snowballed from there.

Converting that 3rd and 13 to the Berea Player after a huge sack, was a bad sign.
