Troy was losing to winless Georgia State in the 4th quarter. They are NOT one of the "better teams" in the conference. Georgia State is BOTTOM FIVE, one of the worst teams in FBS.

Troy is also pretty close to being a good team if they had a defense. The lost a bunch of games this year by 14 or fewer to some pretty good teams...

I don't know what we did to Robinson(Troy QB) in our game this year -- but that's the only game I've ever seen him play where he didn't wow me at times. If we had "that" defense on the reg, we would be in business...

After barely beating Troy last year I saw Jack Cristil at the grocery store. I said Hey Jack that was an ugly game yesterday. He grunted and said the only thing that matters is it's a W in the win column and walked off to get a pack of smokes.
Doesn't Jack realize that smoking could cut years off his life?

They were losing to them? Who gives a 17? Did they lose? Let me try to make this simple. They are one of the better teams In the conference. They are better than:Texas state, western Kentucky, south Alabama, Georgia state (4 teams) They are worse than UL (coincidentally in first place with HUD), ULM, and Arkansas state. (3 teams). Seeing as how they are worse than three teams and better than four, I say they are one of the better teams in the conference.

What you need badly is a Mullen win and a HUD loss, neither is likely.

Please tell me you're joking about Tebow?
not at all. I think it would be a major coup for Dan to get Tebow as a QB coach. Not only for the reasons I stated, but also for the marquee value. Think of televised games when the cameras pan the MSU sideline for a closeup of Tebow huddling with Dak, offering suggestions and critiques. Talk about in-game adjustments... pure gold! Not to mention the effect all of the buzz will have on recruiting athletes to come to Starkville to play for the Bulldogs.

I'm sure you have a reason for the negativity, but frankly, I just don't see it that way.

Now wait just a second guy. We beat Kentucky and Bowling Green yet everyone called for Mullen's head. Why are you holding Troy to a different standard here? Either a win is a win, or it is deeper than that. You can't apply different rules to help justify your cause.

I think Tebow is a good guy, and was a good leader at UF. But the fact is, he has documented bad machanics and Zero experience coaching anywhere. Yet, apparently he's qualified to be QB coach at MSU? I'm not saying tebow wouldn't be a good coach somewhere someday (although that is questionable, based on his below average wonderlic score and perceived lack of intelligence) GA maybe? QB coach? Hell no. You obvs bought into the tebow mythology. Which is fine, as long as its passed off as such and certainly not as factual.

His wonderlic score was slightly below average for NFL qb's. OK, so he's a mediocre NFL qb. So was Spurrier. But a perceived lack of intelligence? By whom, you? Mythology doesn't win football games. Tebow did, in Mullen's offense. That is about as factual as it gets.

What is obvious is that you think the idea isn't worthy of consideration. Fine. I'll agree to disagree.

I'm not mad at Mullen about beating Kentucky and Bowling Green. I'm mad at Mullen for shitting the bed against everyone with a pulse in one way or another for 34 games straight.

Hud dismantling 2 teams on the road as an underdog in back to back weeks buys patience for 2 "letdown" wins.

Mullen putting up a 3-spot against OK State, blowing the Auburn game for us, and giving up on LSU in the 3rd only to get blown out does not buy the same patience. Especially when it isn't a "new" problem -- but one that's spanned over half of his career -- and in some ways his whole career.

All Bowling Green and Kentucky do is provide additional evidence to what many of us already believe to be true...

In a vacuum -- or role reversal with ULL(beat just one of the 3 teams we were underdogs against -- all of which we reasonably had the talent to do) -- and no one bats an eye about Mullen's performance in the last 2 victories.

Im glad those UK and BG wins gave you so much self worth, for me, we sucked

But lets make no mistake about it, the only reason Dan HAS to go this year is to take Hud before its too late. Dans doom is inevitable. Its knowin inside the program and out. Hes arrogant and hasnt got a change at success here anymore. The ship has sailed. Just look around.
