if MSU decides to move on from Lebby after '26 season but limited it to coaches from the Saban coaching tree. Top responses were: 1) Billy Napier, 2) Bill O'Brien, 3) Butch Jones, 4) Charles Huff, 5) Major Applewhite. If not sitting head coaches, what coordinators would be possibilities. Answer: Glenn Schumann (current DC at GA), Travaris Robinson (current Co-DC at GA), Jeff Banks, current Texas Assistant Head Coach, Charlie Weis Jr., Holman Wiggins (current Co-OC at A&M).

Here's to hoping Leb can pull 7-8 W's

I'd love it if Lebby keeps improving and builds enough to where he eventually gets pulled to a major program that we can't match and Huff continues to win and improve and we bring him back. Huff has been winning, I'm just not sure what he would bring.

The most alarming thing about Lebby was how the team got worse and worse over the course of the season.
  • First four games: 4-0, win over Arizona State, not close with the other 3 non-P4 teams
  • Next four games: 0-4, but at least we were competitive. Big red flag that coaching decisions were costing us games, but still better to lose close than get blown out like we did in 2024
  • Game 9: We win an SEC game! (even though it was an extremely lucky win over a 2-10 team, but still, first time in 2 years we can say that)
  • Last four games: 0-4, all blowouts

This is the most depressing thing I've read this year

If the rumors are true that we are capable and ready to pay a LT $4m+ for a year of his services (a premier LT and not arguing against that), then why is our strategy hiring a greenhorn OC and his band of misfit assistants during this era of massive CFB change?

Your point is??? That's our damn football season. You got some salt or pepper to make it palatable? NO, none of us do.

Doesn’t make sense, you first spend the money to hire a good p4 head coach, then you pour in the thirty million

Maybe Uncle Grok should be asked for recommendations from the Cignetti tree instead.

And what happened to our offensive line during the coarse of the season? What happened to the defense during the coarse of the season? We at least competed this season and came close to winning 8 games. With a top 50 defense I believe we would have won those close games. Only time will tell but I encouraged that Arnett is back.

We were closer to three wins than we were to 8

There's no need to be on the Saban coaching tree. Just get somebody with HC experience, such as the guy from Montana State.

We know the MSU hiring method:

Step 1: Find a supposedly 'hot' OC or DC who has never been a HC and hire him
Step 2: Watch new green HC stumble around for 2 to 3 years (or 1 year for Arnett) trying to figure things out
Step 3: Relieve head coach of duties and then rinse and repeat with next OC or DC

If we are going to hire another coordinator I would just as soon stick with Lebby.
