So I flip on 97.7 here in Huntsville today

while out running the usual Saturday morning errands, and a golf lesson for the boy, and here is what I hear:

"Mississippi State is under a major NCAA investigation"
"The coaching staff bought a car for a player"
"The coach resigned because he is under investigation"
"This will be a major distraction for Dan Mullen"
"You dont take shots at Joe Schad"
"DeVinner does not have to talk to NCAA but he is"
"Auburn is being investigated aso"

Am I naive by not believing there is all this going on? Has this story taken on a life of itself, or are we "staring down the barrel of a gun" like everyone keeps saying?

I agree, the story is snowballing because the media has no facts to go on. Therefore everyone is creating conspiracy theories and thinking about the worst. However, I will still say that actions speak louder than words in this instance, and as of right now Will Redmond is practicing and the athletic department is going about business as usual. Until either of these two things change, I can only assume that this just isn't that big of deal.

to kickoff so I imagine these guys are running with anything they can barely sniff as a story.

To paraphrase another poster in this thread... "He is practicing and nobody on the staff seems worried and says this is almost over."

Bump. I would also like to know where he got his "information"? Also, is the writer still standing behind his theory about the vehicle even after the fact that his Mother said that she actually purchased the vehicle for him. I guess Ohio State, Notre Dame, etc could not afford to top our offer of a 6-8(?) year old ford mustang for his services, get real, this all has to be ********.
