Big Red Reaction and there were maybe to good callers, the rest were NFL Head Coaches.

The best call came from a LONG time, blue hair as people that show little respect call them, female fan. She hit the nail on the head when she spoke about what we lost 15 years ago was physicality and that she supported MR but her biggest fear is that we pass too much to ever establish our physicality.

The worst had to be the lady that said MR wasn't a leader because of a 5 second clip she saw where he had the headset under his arm and his mouth open. As I listened I kept thinking about the viral clip of the female Auburn fan ripping her team on a call in show earlier this season.

What I found amazing is, and I see it here on this board, there was ZERO discussion on Ryker throwing 4 INTs to go with a "fumbled" snap. Does anyone think we lose that game if turnovers were even? In normal times that would have been the story of the game yet given the state of the fan base it was completely lost.

Good point, but the last 2 weeks the defense can't get of the field when the team needs it the most.
And I'm not talking the 4 positions they had deep in our territory.

The last 2 weeks we let QB run down the field like they were slower Eric Crouch's. This defense falls on Banker and why in the heck do you think OSU AD wanted Riley to make a change last year.If Riley doesn't make a change it's going to be Callahan II. Nine years later.

Agree that Nebraska has lost the physicality it played with back in the day. Back then, Nebraska had an advantage over most teams with the strength and conditioning program. Not only does Nebraska no longer have an advantage in that area, I think they are behind a lot of programs. Don't confuse the facilities-which are as good as anyone's--with the strength and conditioning coaching. Urban always said that it was the most important hire he made. He said after the season he would hand the program off to the strength and conditioning coach and tell him to make him a football team.

I think the clip you are talking about it is Tammy that calls into the Paul Finebaum show. She calls in about every week and I don't think I am going out on a limb when I say that lady needs a lot of medication.

Lastly, I don't think anyone thinks that Nebraska loses to purdue without 5 turnovers. I have seen plenty of discussion about the turnovers...usually because fans question why a team calls 48 passing plays with a back up QB, when the running backs are averaging more than 5 yards per carry.

Oh there has been a lot of discussion about the 4 picks and the bad snap on the called passing play against the WORST rushing defense in the B1G.

Against NW the Defense played lights out. They couldn't get off the field when the team needed it the most? I'm assuming you mean the final NW drive where we couldn't hold them? If so, then you're asking the D to hold NW for the 10th time the entire game.

It's easy to sit back and complain about a game like NW and pick apart a small handful of drives. But if you were to look at the entire body of work our D played really well against NW (count how many 3-and-outs they had). Also our D was put in a VERY tough position yesterday when Purdue's average starting position after gaining 4 turnovers was inside Nebraska 30 yard line.

But yes, Bankers fault

Your thinking about the first half and yes they played well except for the long run and right before the half the 2nd half NW figured it out and answered after we scored every time.

Still how many times did the QB make big plays running the ball 2weeks in a row, should have worked on that this week. And I did point out the 4 positions by Purdue yesterday were they had easy sliding.

I probably shouldn't haven't included the board as I purposely didn't read any messages, I just scanned the latest headers and none referenced Ryker. But on the radio show there was only one caller I recall that even referenced Ryker by saying at least those questioning whether he should start over TA should go away, that was it

IDK how you can even post this crap. There were multiple threads about how everyone can STFU about how Fyfe should get to play. He bombed against a TERRIBLE team. It was a great opportunity for him to show what he could do. He belongs at UNK.

Hard to know where you're coming from when you say;

I don't know what else the D could've done against NW. To me it's unfair to say on the last NW drive, "well the D didn't step up when we needed them to" when they had stepped up all game.

One of those long runs was complete ******** and was a long run only because the refs missed a blatent holding call. I hate to use the ref excuse, but that missed hold did make a huge difference.

You have a first time starting QB against a defense that is weak against the run. On the other side of the ball, you have the worst pass offense that you have faced and is just not a very good team overall. You study film, find what running plays have really been hurting them, and run those all week in practice. You run, throw in some safe passes, punt when necessary, play defense, don't let anything get behind you. About the only way to lose this game is to turn it over. Best way to insure turnovers is to ask a first time starter to make split second decisions 48 times.
