He did land a top 5 recruiting class before being fired. I dont know- would be an interesting pick- and he does have Kentucky ties

"Coaches that have either not been talked about or talked about very little." Pelphry meets both those criteria... and considering this board has done nothing but discussed potential coaches for the past 2 weeks, there aren't very many "good" candidates that meet that criteria... your rules.

my first 2 guys are out... my #1 Grant isn't even close ...so i could think of worst guys than Pelphrey


1) I feel like pelphrey got a raw deal at arkansas
2) he is a billy donovan guy, that is better than a john calipari guy ...to me


I am sure there are more qualified guys than John Pelphrey, but I know there are worst coaches than him out there.

Three 4 stars (of which 2 were unlikely to play anywhere else being Razorback fans), One underrated 3 star (Something Stansbury was quite good at) and a 5 star blue chip that all the real programs were shying away from. Don't get me wrong, there is talent in the recruits he got, but a lot of that talent sort of fell into his lap.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; font-family: sans-serif; ">

Rick Byrd may not fit the mold of a young up and coming coach, but he is very well respected in coaching circles. He's been to the NCAA tournament 5 out of 7 years. I know he met with Tennessee last year during their search. We could do worse.
