I think we've just grossly overestimated our D-Line's abilities. The only person who has ever gotten any pub is Boyd, and that's just as the and 1 in the Cox/Boyd dt slot during any mentions of Cox as the badass he was. It's also safe to say that Autry isn't on the same career trajectory as was McPhee. And the rest of our upper classmen couldn't shake a tree in the grove. The only player that I have seen disrupt the opponents line is Quay, and I know that he's not ready for a full rotation in the SEC but good god everyone else is just so weak.
Winners, anyone from a winning program that's still hungry and out to prove themselvesWho would you want them to hire? Share your thoughts
Several of the top defenses in the country are from Saban disciple programs
Tennessee fans say you'd better be careful if you go that route.

I don't buy this myth one damn bit. Quay was an early enrollee. You mean to tell me that he isn't any more prepared than that Gross kid from OM that didnt enroll until August and has made a pretty decent positive impact on OM's DL. ********.
Well its at least comforting to know that we have become such an elite program that we are ready to send our assistants coaches packing at 7-2. No, I am not happy at how we've looked the past couple of weeks but I think most of us would have taken 7-2 after the first 9 games when the year started and been quite happy about it.
I'm borderline on this^^. Yes, we're 7-2, but if we get run over defensively again this week, I'm stepping into the fire him category. It's not the losses, it's how we're losing defensively. We looked clueless the last two weeks, and that is pretty unacceptable from a D-Coord with a few years under his belt and a decent amount of talent to work with. Even in a few of our wins against pansies our D looked bad. In my opinion, this weekend will go a long way towards determining Wilson's fate, and I know that sounds tough considering it's at LSU...but we aren't saying you have to shut them down. Just compete, play hard, and look like you have a 17ing clue of how to stop someone. If we compete and don't get run the 17 over defensively, then give him a chance to straighten it out. Bama and Manziel are not the easiest to prepare for, so I'm not giving up on him just yet. LSU is Much easier to prepare for, but very hard to stop. I just want us to be prepared and have a good game plan against them, and I think we will.
