Earlier, there was soem chatter about how the East is much better than the West...
Obviously, UF is legit, but USCe, UGA, and TN haven't looked very good for a few weeks. I still think the West, with Bama, LSU, and MSU/aTm are better than the big 3 in the East of UF, USCe, and UGA. And I'd easily take MSU/aTm, Ark, and OM over TN, Vandy, and Mizzou any day of the week.
UT is a decent football team and anyone that says otherwise is stupid. They have a very good offense, they just don't have the SEC defense to match. But SC fooled everyone by beating an overated UGA team at home. That was SC's chance to get on the national scene and they did it in big fashion. But for two weeks in a row they have let good defenses manhandle them and their offense has paid because of it. They don't have a good enough offense to get past good defenses.
Obvoiusly a UT win helps us out and we need them to continue to do well the rest of the year. Them beating SC and getting them their 3rd straight loss may help us out with bowl positioning down the road. We could be going head to head with SC for a bowl if both of us are 9-3 or 8-4 heading into bowl season.
I think they match up well. Tenn has a good OL, and I think usc's secondary is bad - just my opinion from the little I've watched. So I think tenn has a chance.
We'll find out if UGA has anything to offer today. I don't see them beating UF. But it might be closer than some people are picking it. Richt loses a lot of big games but he doesn't lose them all. I can't see them getting swept in all their big games this year. Seems unlikely.
The easy is stronger than west argument is just stupid to me. No way.
I think when UT lost to us it took a lot of wind out of them. They still believed they would beat us and a few others. Now, after that game, I think a lot of fight has been lost from the team.
