Yeah, some nasty stuff gets said around here, but for some reason every time someone calls Moore "Pizza Face" I think to myself... Man.... That's messed up.

It is messed up.

He's 18 and has accomplished more athletically than 99% of this board ever did. But hey, he's got acne and no one on here ever had to deal with that as a teenager. Or if we did we were smart enough not be an awesome Freshmen pitcher on national TV in the College World Series. What is he thinking?

correct, I used the term pizza face last earlier in the week and really feel bad about.......

I would have to assume that OS would want to show our guys the same pitcher but he IS the best they have available. Moore is good but IF he starts is this not a huge advantage to our guys who have now seen plenty of his pitches?

He did sit down 18 of 20 at one point. Could it be an advantage for him having already faced our batters?

If your OSU and he's the best you got the you throw him.

On the OSU board rumors are swirling that they are going to go with the pitcher that is coming off elbow surgery. I think he has pitched maybe 4 1/3 innings this season. Supposedly had a fastball in the mid-90's before the surgery. I think is name is Jace Frye? Consensus is that it is either him or Moore going for them today. Also reading that they don't have a lot of faith in their pen. Wouldn't surprise me to see them start Frye and have Moore the first guy out of the pen and then go from there. We just need to get on them early and often and put some stress on that staff and hope Pollo can stay out of trouble. For some reason I am very nervous seeing him get the start.

C-L quotes Casey as saying he'd like to start Fry on a pitch count and then use Moore in middle relief. Which makes no sense at all to me. Seems to me you'd either use Moore or save him for tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised to see Moore start though. I'm really surprised it's not a slam dunk for both Graveman and Moore to start. If the coaches thought Pollorena and Fry were better matchups, why didn't they start them Saturday?

and I am seeing some chatter from our guys that E. Mitchell has looked unhittable in the pen lately....

Could he be our Ace in the hole?

That makes lot more sense then. I guess all the other talk was just typical coaches ******** trying to keep from tipping off their hand.

Fellas, I just wanna say my goodbyes now. I will not be joining chat today as I will be @ bar, slamming jager like an ax man. SWIDT. If we somehow pull this off, it's really no telling if I make it through the night. Someone in my honor go GOLD in the 9th. Peace.
