Everyone needs to chill. We should be pretty good offensively, but our defense isn’t a strength and we need to see how our pitching beyond McPherson and Valincius hold up against quality opponents. Ariz St. is pretty good and their pitcher was very good, but they aren’t UCLA nor the top half of the SEC. Everyone else that we have played isn’t all that good. Tomorrow, we find out and usm is fully expecting to beat us and i’ll be surprised if they don’t.
I doubt UCLA fans are worried. I don't think anyone outside of players family cares.
They've been very impressive in their first two games and they've probably played better competition than we have in those two games.

Win would be great. Loss won’t be the end of the world. Anything can happen in a single baseball game. Either way, a lot of work left to do. It’s a single nonconference game in early March.

Gonna be a barn burner today....their starter is less than impressive......but man those guys can rake just like us....winner will be who plays best defense IMO.....and someone said above that we are that great defensively? ....we have looked great minus one game....we will finish top 10 in defense in the country.....
Exactly. It’s a big game for both teams. But it’s one game out of 56, and a non conference one at that.
It’s a shame a top 5 matchup, and potential Omaha preview, is not being nationally televised.
