So many of you doubted Lebby...

I'll bite. We went 2-10, our defense looked like completeshit for the second year in a row (cant blame him for Arnett the year before but it was our biggest hole) and a lot of us wanted to bring in an experienced coach to handle that side of the ball. We did bring in a couple really good former coaches to serve as analysts but kept Hutz; this was a big strike against him for a lot of people.

On top of that, the offensive line has also been a big concern and we had to go bargain hunting after spring practice sent the staff into panic mode.

While I have tried not to be overly critical of Lebby, I've been concerned he wasn't ready for showtime. My mind is definitely changing, but we've got a long way yet to go. We've still got an insanely tough conference schedule, so I hope we continue to build momentum the next couple weeks and can claw our way to 6 wins. Its going to be really damn tough, but if we can survive the season and build on the talent level, then I think we have the chance to be a decent program again

So you didn't and still don't? He's won 4 of the 14 games he's coached, and you are sold on him that he's the man for the job? He beat E KY and UMASS last year, UMASS is probably the worst college team of the 2020s so far, look up their record. USM was worse than us last year. He may ultimately be the man but damn man some of y'all are putting the horse before the cart after a single 4 point win. I truly hope to see us back in the spotlight soon but this game was a play or two from going either way and we've got 8 hard conference games to go

I tried to stick up for him last year until you guys ridiculed me so bad I said we needed to fire him just so I could fit in. I'm sold on the fact that if he can't make it here due to NIL, he will make a good head coach somewhere else. He reminds me of Pete Carrol in the fact that players like him AND they play hard for him. Offensive players love to play for him as evidenced by his ability to get wide receivers and QB's. I like the additions to the coaching staff and the ability to surround yourself with good people is a sign of a good leader who is fair. Coaches coach and player win games. Money gets players these days and you still can't do it all in one year.
