Damn, football season hasn’t even started and you guys are already looking past it to b-ball? Must suck for your season to be over before Sept 1.

I always look forward to seeing which power house teams Marshall's coaching staff schedules to replace the series with WVU that the D'antoni Doctrine killed. So far it's been Concord College, WV Wesleyan, and now Bluefield State. I'm getting a good laugh out of it, aren't you?

Not sure this years edition of WVU basketball will be any better than last year's debacle!

As a regular season game. Laughable.

2019-20 Marshall men's basketball schedule

Oct. 29 Glenville State **

Nov. 2 Rio Grande**

Nov. 7 Robert Morris

Nov. 10 Toledo

Nov. 15 at Notre Dame

Nov. 19 College of Charleston

Nov. 21 Howard

Nov. 29 at Florida

Dec. 4 Akron

Dec. 8 at Toledo

Dec. 11 Bluefield State

Please, you boys play WVIAC teams every December as well... you just call them exhibitions, which this tilt might as well be! Much ado about nothing.

I'm not sure what the Buzzard is laughing about, when I review the non-conference tilts for this latest edition of Thuggy's warriors. If given an honest opinion, appears the Herd is playing a stiffer non-conference schedule.

11/8 Akron

11/15 @ Pitt

11/18 Northern Colorado*

11/22 Boston University*

11/26 Northern Iowa*

11/27 South Carolina OR Wichita St*

12/1 Rhode Island

12/7 @ St. John’s+

12/12 Austin Peay

12/14 Nicholls State

12/21 @ Youngstown St

12/29 Ohio State**

I think WVU's conference schedule is tough enough to justify some warm up games early in the season. Can you say the same about about Marshall against their CUSA schedule? I don't think so.......but have fun playing those schools that used to belong to the WVIAC,

you don't need to justify playing that bunch of stiffs to me. it's the madness committee that's surely to take note.

Isn't that the same committee that will look at Marshall's schedule if they are in consideration for a tourney bid? I guess you think they won't notice Bluefield State as one of Marshall's regular season opponents. No wonder that MU basketball has only had one appearance in the big dance since Ronald Reagan was President.

Breaking News, Buzzard: C-USA is a one bid league. Conference tournament champs or bust.

It wouldn't have to be that way if someone in CUSA ever would just step up their OOC scheduling and win some tough games. Doesn't seem that Marshall is up to the task since they keep putting former WVIAC teams on their regular season schedule.

looking at the slate, the herd has 5 or 6 OOC games against better teams than WVU, and Coastal Carolina fans would probably say there's more teams than that. Plus, the in-state squad took their ball and went home a few years back.
