he has become much more physical. Starting the year he was second best, behind John Jerry, but now he's the best lineman we had. I never agreed with the Neely ****.

Oher and the Jerry brothers are right there as UM's best, most talented players...have to be top 10 if not top 5 on that team. I don't think anybody would argue that. All 3 were academically challenged coming out of HS. From what my UM family tells me, Nutt is into signing kids who make it to campus and maybe will place a couple in JUCO each year. I remember him being quoted in a general way on that very subject.

Like Orgeron or not or even Cutcliffe for that matter but UM has done a decent job of signing players and working them until they get eligible in recent years and having them avoid losing 2 years of eligibility at a JUCO. Hargrave rings a bell.

Would Nutt have signed Oher, Jerry, or Jerry out of high school? If so, does he have the motivation and stamina to stay on them to get their academics in order?

Does he think he can get the players UM needs recruiting "his" way or does he realize that Mississippi (the state, not the school) is a place where you really do have to be creative in recruiting? UM signed some Hargrave guys last year if memory serves (and what happened to the stud RB?) but I don't recall any being UM placements.

What say you Rebel faithful?

On Oher, he hasn't been a different lineman this year than in the past. He has yet to be blown off the ball, which happened alot last year, most notably on the infamous 4th and 1.</p>
