Coaches are ones making the most money and the ones that are most full of ****.
And let it be known, I hate these 'neutral-site' games. I'd MUCH MUCH MUCH rather the games be played on college campuses. It's COLLEGE football, not pro, Lord Saban.

Because the SEC won't have 9 games in 2016. And yeah, the teams Bama plays for their neutral site game those 2 years will be better than Michigan State. Bama's going to stick with what's been working. 8 SEC games, 1 big neutral site game, and 3 patsies.

ESPN is making it sound like MSU asked Bama out and Bama agreed. Bama above anyone isn't worried about playing a tough OOC schedule. They always play in the kickoff against big teams, Clemson, VT, Michigan...

I work in retail in NYC right now and I'm their token southern guy. Every time someone comes in wearing a college football shirt or something along those lines I strike up a conversation with them about it. ND guy and I got to talking and after I established that I went to MSU ("oh, the rebels right?") he called me a cheater and that the SEC is afraid to play anyone tough like ND (he was referring to the likes of OU, Michigan State, Purdue, Michigan, blah blah blah) and when I explained that MSU has to play #1 Alabama, #6 LSU, #10 A&M, #12 South Carolina, and #21 Ole Miss this year AS WELL as Auburn and Arkansas who are regularly good, he still brought up the fact that we (and every other SEC school) played D2 teams on a yearly basis...
Alabama/upper echelon SEC teams could have an undefeated regular season capped with a blowout win over the undisputed #2 team in the country in the national title game and those fans would still complain that 1 of those 13 wins came against a team that competes in the FCS, which at that point is irrelevant. It comes with the territory of being the best at something. We're just in the unique position of being a mediocre team in the best conference in sports.

We'll see. My opinion is that it won't happen because the SEC doesn't need 9 games. Most of the people saying the SEC is going to a 9-game schedule in 2016 were saying the SEC was going to a 9-game schedule in 2013. As long as the SEC continues to get teams in the championship game/playoffs, I don't see them changing anything.
I don't care for Saban's reasoning, but I kinda like a neutral site, big name game at the beginning of the year. Seems to add more nationwide excitement. That said, our game in Houston was not well attended. It might have been had it been in the Georgia Dome or even the Super Dome.
But I certainly wouldn't want more than one neutral site game.

I might can see us doing it (but I really prefer that we don't), but they shouldn't be afraid to even with 9 conference games. After all, the conference games they have are not as hard, relatively speaking, as ours are. And there are a couple of patsy SEC teams ... Alabama destroyed Michigan State in the 2011 Capital One Bowl 49-7. And Michigan State was highly touted that year.
Regardless of "toutedness", Michigan State would be taking the bigger risk about 99.9% of the time in playing Alabama.
