I don't care for Saban's reasoning, but I kinda like a neutral site, big name game at the beginning of the year. Seems to add more nationwide excitement. That said, our game in Houston was not well attended. It might have been had it been in the Georgia Dome or even the Super Dome.
But I certainly wouldn't want more than one neutral site game.
And, addressing Bill Battle's statement: why does a team have to schedule 3 patsies, especially Alabama? I might can see us doing it (but I really prefer that we don't), but they shouldn't be afraid to even with 9 conference games. After all, the conference games they have are not as hard, relatively speaking, as ours are. And there are a couple of patsy SEC teams ... Kentucky, Vandy at times, the Bears at times, us at times ....
