that Laremy Tunsil, national OL prospect #1 out of Georgia, is going to OM. What in the heck is going on? I don't buy it but why is Kennedy putting out the pub for them?

Our ability to put pressure on the press far exceeds the CL and Commercial App..

We have no moral compass or code so forcing a publisher of scout to post something positive, though Im sure entirely untrue, is a cup of coffee for the Ole Miss smear campaign.

18 years olds will be 18 year olds. Ole Miss hit the perfect storm with the Nkemdiche hype. I'm sure they are padding some things to go along with it. Not SMU level bad, but you know it's there to an extent.

But who really cares? Let's just take care of MSU. This type of attention could be good for us too. Maybe we could get the State of Mississippi in the football limelight for once in our lifetimes.

If they land Jones, Tunsil and Conner, they may have the #1 overall class.

I’m really having trouble keeping up

with whether we’re going to pull in one of the best classes in the country, which is evidence of our unprecedented cheating, or whether we’re pulling the strings on a nationwide media conspiracy to make it appear that all is well when in reality our entire class is collapsing. If everyone could form into two lines representing which view you hold, that would be helpful.

maybe you should start a poll

with whether we’re going to pull in one of the best classes in the country, which is evidence of our unprecedented cheating, or whether we’re pulling the strings on a nationwide media conspiracy to make it appear that all is well when in reality our entire class is collapsing. If everyone could form into two lines representing which view you hold, that would be helpful.

Just remember to put an option for goat so he can vote for both.

Well don't get yourself a headache over it....

we will all find out next Wednesday on both our classes. A lot of these guys that OM are supposedly in with haven't even committed much less signed and ones that are committed are still taking visits. So everything is just really message board chatter until the faxes start coming in.

I think if Ole Miss finishes with a top 10-15 recruiting class then no one will bat an eye nor should they. However, if by some miracle they move up to 1-3 then it will raise some eyebrows and justifiably so because no 7-6 team in history who has not won anything of note since the 1960's has ever done that before.

Snatch players away from MSU and people say, "meh". Snatch players away from Bama, Florida, and Georgia and people say "now wait a damn minute".

The fact that ole miss landing the top 3 players in the country

is even in the realm of possibility, should raise enough red flags. Has any team ever done that, ever? And if so, was it Notre Dame/Bama coming off a championship?

Any school named MSU, ole miss, Vandy, or UK pulls in a top 5, out of state player at all, and something's fishy.

Just had a very good source tell me that 5-star OL Laremy Tunsil was signing with #OleMiss. Get your popcorn ready. #SigningDay #Bama #UGA

@ScoutKennedy: Don't know if this is out there already or not, but I'm hearing 5-Star OT Laremy Tunsil is a done deal to Ole Miss. http://t.co/pRe5ZAIh
@jcshurburtt: The Laremy Tunsil #OleMiss talk is legit per the #UGA side of things. #SigningDay

@jcshurburtt: Talked to @Mansell247 who classifies Tunsil as a "heavy lean" to #OleMiss

it's not just scout saying it.

just to clarify, IF ole miss flipped jones, and landed nkemdiche, tunsil, and connor as expected, and hung on to threadwell and daniels, that would give them the #1-3, 25, 27, and 28 players on the top 247. all 5*. that's a real shot at 6 5*. only class i can think of that compares in the modern recruiting era would be usc's 8 5* class. usc who was winning national titles and producing boatloads of NFL talent at the time. something doesn't add up.

Alabama's class was good in 2008, landed a few #1s. Florida's 2010 class was pretty sick too. I remember USC had one a few years ago with about 10 5 stars in it too.

Ole Miss just fits right along with them. Nothing to see there.

A few recruit let their intentions be known Monday of this week. Tunsil was supposed to be a NSD announcement but oh well.

Is that because of the prohibition on humor?

You're almost there Arlo. The hammer is ready.

For the record, I'm a recruiting agnostic. I don't know and don't claim to know where anyone is going. I don't subscribe to any websites, but I do enjoy the madness of it all. I find it funny that morons freak out about it, while others stake their internet cred on their purported insider info. No trolling intended.

why? I agree with him on this one. we're the bipolar ones (not just goat) on this one.

However, I am all for purging us of almost all OM posters, so disregard what I just said. Carry on.

By all means, keep digging your head into the sand.

First, Freeze was a nobody who couldn't coach. He promptly turned the worst Ole Miss team in history into a 6-6 team and roundly outcoached your 4th year coach.

Them, Freeze couldn't recruit. Ole Miss was losing recruits left and right, plummeting in relevance. Fortunately, he actually knew what he was doing, being in prime position for more top prospects than have been signed ever by a Mississippi team. The national media is 3 weeks late on Tunsil to OM. Get ready for a couple more surprises Wednesday.

Actually they weren't...

and the same USC that was doing some BIG TIME cheating.

RB got in trouble bc he and his parents took money from a guy wanting to be his agent. The NCAA attempted to create a link to USC that doesn't exist. The named party is suing the NCAA and has a pretty good case in light of recent findings that NCAA people lied and intentionally tried to trump up the charges against USC. It's out there. Read about it.

How do you...

"let your intentions be known" without commiting? Is he telling people specifically the school he's going to but yet he is not committing? Sounds a little strange.

Probably a looming academic casualty...

...I don't know why you people can't figure this out. If a player has grade problems, & commits to a real football school, the real football school sees the likelyhood this player will not qualify, then tosses him to the wind. This is when the University of Mississippi enters the picture, because this is the university that got Jerrell Powe qualified. It doesn't take a lot of brain power to figure this out.

But then again, how many years has it been since he took them to court?

They all want to be part of the NSD hoopla. Kids being kids. Who knows, one might break their leg on the first practice and never get a chance to play again, so here's their moment in the sun.
