crap. while usually very good.. there have been several recent 30 for 30s with kind of dumb topics. I am looking forward to the Ric Flair one, however.

I'd agree but I fear it'd turn into a LP-Christian Peter documentary.
If that's the case then just as well let it go... We've heard the story already about those two.
A lot of good stuff went on too but nobody wants to hear about that kind of stuff on a documentary.
Listening to 1620 at 12:30 am this morning and they were talking about the CFL team that hired Art Briles then let him go and turned down Johnny Football because there were too many red flags. One of the hosts said, "this coming from the league that gave Lawrence Phillips a job." The legend of LP will never die.

You really think ESPN would have created a piece to put Nebraska in the best possible light? It would have done more harm than good.
Ummm... I don't think LP played in Canada. He played in the European League aka NFL Europe.
Sharpe and Benning talking about it now. Both were interviewed for it. CP and Kathy Redmond and her husband former RB Derek Brown were apparently interview together and according to Peter it was very emotional.
Both S and B said they didn't think from what they had heard about all the interviews that it was coming across as overly negative. DB also stated he was surprised at the amount of information ESPN had. Apparently information that a lot of husker fans would not be aware of.
Speculation is there was possibly pushback from the University?

Those things happened. Claiming they didn't or shouldn't be talked about is freaking lame. Titles also happened.
Look at the bright side, for those of us who lived those years, we have all the 30-30 in our memories, good and bad. 
On the radio this morning Benning said they had over 100 hours of interviews alone.
Also said multiple key people refused to be a part of it.

It sounds like maybe it wasn't going to be the dirt-slinging doc that some feared it was. Sharp and Benning, who were both interviewed for the documentary, talked about it this morning on the radio. After hearing this, I am disappointed that it will not air. Starts at about the 13 minute mark.
No it wouldn't. It would have only reminded these young kids just how dominant Nebraska has been. No such thing as bad pub to these young kids. All they see was Nebraska destroying everyone back in the day.
If Colorado can have one the team of the 90s should too...they have too many interviews to call this off forever
I am ok with certain elements of those years, staying indeed in story and the past. Our 95 Huskers continue to be the best of all time. Our 94 team continues to be soon after. Certain people were distractions ofc. New dispassionate stories against young men 22 years ago, are reckless and quite quaint.
