I was kidding, but now you're confusing me. I haven't changed the way I use 17 in a decade plus. What does On3 have to do with using 17 in place of F***??
I was saying On3 stopped us fromusingshit and other words we did use. I was also explaining the origins of 17forfuck. The rule was made for some folks who objected when the board originally was never censored.

smoke has turned into a smoldering ember it seems…maybe a big OL’ fire :)
Oh it’s a damn back street bonfire at this point. I love how the one particular beat-writer for UVA (Garett Keough) is still holding his own saying no way he bolts for State. Funniest thing I saw on their message boards … the first post said …. “I think I’m gonna be sick” lol! Yes sir, yack it up my friend. Btw, portal opens up on Monday, you have to make some official announcement right??? Not trying to take anything away from the team at all, but this is bigger than just THIS postseason. IF this actually comes to pass.

Odds have gone from 60/40 to 90/10

If uva doesn’t have an official press release by Saturday, he’s ours.
I’m used to being completely let down on Our Coaching Searches/Hires, but …. I don’t know, it’s feeling like the stars may line up for once. I’ll certainly eat crow if it doesn’t; which I am ready to do. But not sure what it is … Hungry AD, Boosters Getting onboard, or Keenum growing a pair, this just feels different from the other multi-letdowns!! Maybe this is &tate saying enough is enough, let’s make a GD Elite Hire for once and not leave this historic program up to chance or unknowns! BOC has a resume that’s just ridiculous, I think this move, if made would light a fire in him that would be unmatched.

I’m feeling very confident we got him.
From Winchester to Richmond to Charlottesville I’ve got damn close family. Not to mention the southeastern peanut farming in-laws.

We got him

Big game hunting indeed. I hope they close the deal and announce. Don't really care if we are still playing.

you don't fire lemonis who won a natty to go out and not hire a big name. Selmon has surprised me though. Some alumni boosters putting up some big money giving him ammo to use.
Hope it's all signed and done tomorrow. I've been wanting O'Conner for a while now. Selmon criticism should stop if he this follows through. A bit gun shy after the cohen schloss deal

We will be in a much-improved scholarship situation moving forward,” O’Connor told reporters on Monday regarding his expectations for resources at Virginia. “That exact number I don’t have, but that’s being continued to be worked on. The NIL situation is totally up in the air for all of college athletics.” ……. That sounds like a Cat ready to put on the M over S to me!

Still don't think he'd leave UVA.

Mostly I fear he will not be the championship-hungry-bad-*** grinder we're envisioning. I get he's won a natty, but he's been coaching in the ACC and his team underperformed this year - weren't they ranked No. 2 in the preseason?
Not to be an ageist, but he'll be 55 next season.

Love to be pleasantly surprised (if he actually makes it to Starkville) by his success, but I suspect many our fellow sixpackers will make a hard turn and a host of creative/uncensored nasty nicknames will be bandied about before SEC play begins in 2026.

He’s 54. That’s not old. Who is younger than O'Connor that has even close to a resume like his?

Tony Vitello turns 47 this year. Will he be too old in 7 years?

ETA: People think O’Connor is older than he is because he was rocking the salt ‘n pepper back in 2009 at age 38 when we first saw him in a super regional.

Excited about CBOC, but the rumor about WF pitching coach is not so exciting after watching WF pitching suck for 2 days straight. Give me Parker back all day.

Not impressed with WF pitching, if he is the best he needs to hurry up and do something. Sec is a brutal conference.

And he's been at the same place forever. That makes people think one is older than they really are.

At 54, he has at least another 10-12 good year in him and maybe 20. That’s an eternity in sports.

Well a confirmation Anon1665155225 from is about as iron clad as it comes… I believe now****

I’m just messing around. I am 99% sure O’Conner has already agreed and will be announced in due time.
