So, rebs, is Bobby Massie spending too much time on facebook or what? ...

From a recruiting site:
Two of the bigger names in the class remain unsettled. Five-star Bobby Massie and four-star re-signee Darius "Tig" Barskdale have finished at Hargrave Military Academy, but the jury remains out. Sources say both have successfully done all they could at Hargrave, but that doesn't necessarily assure NCAA clearance. Massie could have to do some online work and Barksdale's situation could be even more complex as it's reviewed by the NCAA due to work done at a private school in Mississippi before enrolling at Hargrave.

Just another reason to love Massie (aside from his shunning of Bama at his press conference).

Seriously, I bet Massie will make it. They'll make sure of it because he's too important. Barksdale is anyone's guess, and really I'm not that concerned about him. I think his odds of sticking around for 3 or 4 years and actually developing into a big time player are slim. The talent is there, but he's a flake. I'd put the odds at 25% at best for him to actually turn things around and maximize his abilities. Though I think Massie makes it, I'm still concerned just because he's important.

If Powe got in, anybody can get in, particularly if it is online courses. Anybody can take them for him just like Schaefer and Rory Johnson.

If it plays out like Powe, we won't see him on the field until 2012. You're right though that they'll get him in. I was under the impression that he's been pretty close all along. Apparently his grades are close enough that he could actually not even need the online courses if he pulls up his ACT score a few points. I don't think he's really comparable to the Chris Strong/Rory Johnson level of academic miracles. He's more of the average borderline case, needing to pull up a class or two or improve a test score by a few points.
