Tyler dropping back 25 times vs Bama behind our OL would make him 75% or better likely to get injured...they need to play about 50/50 or so tonight

Les better call the read often and Relf had better run it to perfection if we have any shot of beating these guys. Like Mullen said this week, you've got to play a perfect game to beat Bama.

ETA: a perfect game, if you aren't named LSU.

were they broken? I would think slight to moderate bruised ribs would heal over a month (although I am far from a doctor), and Relf has seen little action over the last month or so. If Relf is 100% play him for sure.

and it has had nothing to do with the defenses he's played. He was obviously hurt.<div>
</div><div>I still think even with him well, that we need to keep going 50/50 with he and Russell though at this point- but I'd like to see us go faster with Tyler in there- like more of a 2 min offense</div>

I hate seeing us get mismatches with Russell in and the defense have trouble lining up, and then we step back and take 15 seconds to snap the ball so that the defense gets settled. To beat Alabama you have to strike, not necessarily dangerously, but you have to go for their throats when you can. I think keeping them in a hurry up when Russell is in might put enough pressure on them, and be different enough to cause them problems until they get adjusted. Then you switch it back up with Relf and the power running/play action, get them used to that, and put Russell back in for the 2-minute drill style offense. I think this is our only real chance of an upset. We really need our WRs to have a great game because those LBs are going to severely hinder our running backs' effectiveness.

I am a realist, but this is what I think it would take, along with a little luck to score the upset.
