His Mother just got hired working along side my Daughter. From what she told me it seems like he loves MSU. I loved the way he carried himself through the recruiting process. He graduated from Fulton with my Niece. I have heard nothing about him besides what a great guy he is.... You guys suck.

It wouldn't surprise me at all. His freshman year of high school he was at Fulton then moved for his sophmore and junior seasons. Most likely saw Tupelo wouldn't be as good last year and moved back to Fulton. Maybe he is just that type of guy. Anyways I hear Aeris Williams is already better and maybe Shump is scared he will take his spot.

I'm passing along what I was told. And I admit that Mullen will be back
for at least one more year. He has earned a losing season pass. But will next season save his job? No. He will not beat anyone we aren't supposed to and probably lose to a good team that we shouldn't have. He subsequently will be removed, paving the way for a new head coach that really understands offense and special teams.**

Just like you shouldn't bench a punter on the Ray Guy watch list in favor of a guy who can't kick field goals to save his life.

Not quite sure what the Tweets have to do w/Ashton
but after a little investigation, he's quite happy at MSU...would like the rock more, but he's banking on getting better and getting more snaps next season. Shump is a great young man who is one of the most serious-minded college freshman that I've ever met. I'm more concerned about his pension for contact, but he was that way in h/s both at Tupel and Itawamba.
On a side not, Shump can play Deep Safety and play it well. I'm thinking in a pinch, he might have to play there. Again, the fear is not pulling up on hits and unnecessary roughness.

I posted Saturday night after the game in this thread about what Fred said on twitter after the game. This was about hearing that shump is wanting to leave and I thought after reading the Fred tweets, it related to the topic.
