So, sounds as if Madison Central's Head Baseball Coach resigned rather abruptly.

He resigned today? Is that just word going around or is there something official on it?

Gives a new meaning to " on deck" and " in the hole" as well as " taking one for the team"

The MC baseball coach is Jeffrey Rea's brother. Just to make it bulldog related. Other than that, I know nothing.

Reminds me of that line from Forrest Gump when the principle is walking out of his house. "Your mom sure does care about your schooling son."

Sucks if true. I know coach rea from his time at ridgeland. Great baseball coach. He owns the record for most hits in dsu history or season. I can't remember

I don't know, didn't know he did that junk.

Maybe karma, but I don't see how it makes him a liability as an AD. I'm not saying he's great or anything, but there's no way you can fault an AD for something like that unless they were aware of it and allowed it to happen.

Were they having a side session down in the bullpen?

He musta been teaching her the correct use of the Backdoor slider or the splitter. The problem could've arose if he was slinging a spit ball or introducing a foreign substance...both of which could be considered bush league.

Not with two bags and someone else's johnson.

In all seriousness, I hate it for the players.

No doubt, everybody loses on these deals......how many times has this happened:

Super nuts, hot young mom uses her "tools" and draggs down a poor, defenseless/stupid man.....I am sure it was good for 10 minutes but the debt will be paid for years and years. And she just moves on to another.

Sux for the player because he's a really good ball player. Hope he can weather the storm.

Any why did they not play? Can't the assistant coach take over for a few games while the school chooses an interim? It does not make sense to punish the players because some slutbag MILF wants to get the attention that her husband was not showing her at home.

Possibly because other parents complained that bangee's son was getting

special treatment would be my guess. Sports, especially in Madison are competitive*

Baseball parents are some of the worst to deal with

special treatment would be my guess. Sports, especially in Madison are competitive*

As far as petty back stabbing goes. Everyone thinks their kid is a Big Leaguer waiting to happen except for that ******* SOB coach that won't bench that senior hitting over .400 so that Little Billy can get his chance. I mean, it's obvious to everyone in the stands that Little Billy should play.

Of course that last sentence is based on their delusion and the people sitting around the parent only agreeing because they don't want to cause a scene at the baseball game and it's just better for all involved to agree and keep eating popcorn.

But those parents are dangerous as far as careers go- if you give them any one shred of ammo and you could be toast. There is always someone in the town that is trying to get the coach fired and if you give them any kind of avenue to do so- good luck.

Well, you know

Why would a coach get fired for banging another adult?

You don't want those people in Flowood and Clinton talking about how the baseball coach at Madison Central is a man *****. And you know everyone in those towns is in the baseball loop and gives a **** and "talks".

Well, Madison Central already has a new coach

Chad Davis is their new coach.

That was quick.

Chad Davis is their new coach.

That was quick.

He was an assistant there this past year if I'm not mistaken. Has a ton of head coaching experience and did a good job while at Raleigh. Some folks associated with his other stops may have a different take on his coaching abilities.

And there is definitely some irony to this hire at this time...

Saying that its "ironic" may have been a poor statement since I don't know much on the details of what transpired there with rea. I have known "bullet" for quite some time, played against his teams, and coached against him quite a bit. I think he is a solid coach and if allowed to do things the correct way will be successful there. However; I do think that some of his tactics he used in the past will rub some folks the wrong way which isn't hard to do in that part of the world. That's more of an indictment on Madison baseball than it is on Davis himself. Since you seem to be close to that situation, is dupuy gonna stay on there? I wonder if he was ever considered for the job even tho he doesn't have the HC experience Davis has?

I agree with everything you said Todd...but I will narrow it down even further. Baseball parents in that area are the absolute worst. From coach pitch all the way thru high school.

I'm not a Madison hater but 20+ years of experience with baseball in that area has me convinced that baseball in Madison county is a parental popularity contest of a ***** fest. This is in no way said to defend anything to do with this situation just making a general statement based on observation.
