i agree, the rotation will have to be trimmed...eventually.
but it is still not even conference play, and we still clearly dont have definite players for each spot...just look at the fact that Turrner got time at the 4 today as proof.
so since it isnt yet conference play, we are playing teams who are below us in talent level(in theory) and can use the games to develop players, and last season we found out what a lack of experienced depth will do to the team...all that adds up to more players in the rotation.
jarvis is at the 5, no question. who is at the 4?...who the F knows?!?! Osby, Augustus, and B Johnson are playing hot potato with the spot and apparently none of em can manage to hold onto it. so Stans keeps playing em all, waiting for someone to actually step up. Bailey isnt included b/c i just tossed him in as Jarvis' backup.
as for the 2 spot, Barry was doing well for the first half dozen games this season...but ever since, he has been horrible. just disgustingly bad at shooting. so Stans is playing a **** ton of other guards as well in hopes that someone, be it Barry or another, actually steps up and takes posession of the position.
Holcombe and Ravern are totally different players, and i personally see value in both of their strenghts. clearly, Holcombe isnt as gifted athletically as Ravern, but he has value on the court.
till 8 players are actually able to define themselves on the court as being the best 8, the most reliable 8, the winning 8...why would Stans play less of em?
