We are metaphorically punching you in the face and daring you to do something about it. Since we started this marketing approach last season, all you've done is lay down and die on the field/court. Your basketball team just quit 5 minutes into the game today at LSU and will get thumped by 30. LSU is missing their two best players as well, and this is a game you should be very competitive in. Your "effort" against us in the Egg Bowl, I won't even discuss, we all saw it. No heart, both in football and basketball.
Maybe your failures have nothing to do with our marketing efforts, but they are happening concurrently. Until something changes, it is fair to assume our marketing has a role in the disheartened nature of your players. Pissing you off without any sort of reprisals thusfar is just a bonus. Thus, it's obvious why we love it.
It may be crazy talk, and it may not make any difference whatsoever. Maybe we look like a bunch of childish idiots. I don't know. I just know that your teams have done NOTHING in 2+years to silence us, but have done alot of quitting to enbodlen us even more. If you want us to shut up, start beating us...or at least start playing like you give a damn. Until that happens, you can expect constant escalation. That's the "simple" truth...
