that sucks. Is there any more recrootin to be done? In home visits n ****? Or just decisions to be made. Usually things are as they seem in recrootin. And those two are talking highly of the Ole Miss visit, usually talking to the Ole Miss writers more frequently, and they are all buddies wanting to play together. This means they pretty much swept the top talent (ratings wise) on Scout, Rivals, Dandy Dozen, whatever you look at.

I'd venture to say the Ten Most Wanted will be:

Brassell - UM
Johnson - UM
Singleton - UM
Whitehead - UM
Moncrief - UM
Golson - UM
Faciane - UA
Morrow - MSU
Morris - UM
Jones - MSU

Wow, 7 vs. 2. Yeah, I know the rankings suck. And we probably end up with around the same caliber players in the end. But with C.J. Johnson flipping that's a gut shot and swings the talent award to them for 2011.

Mullen is visiting CJ tonight and he's not going to give up without a fight. And besides that so far its all conjecture as I haven't heard anything directly form CJ yet. Still can't believe he really deep down wants to go to TSUN after the way he's talked about them over the past year and the way he was treated at the Egg Bowl as well as the way he's talked about MSU. Just don't see how someone can basically go to sleep one night and wake up the next morning having totally flip-flopped on how you feel about 2 rival schools.

I chalk most of the rest up to the whims of the recruiting gods - it happens. There's a million different reason a recruit makes a decision that they do - sometimes to our benefit and sometimes not. The CJ switch, if true, just doesn't make any sense to me. None. And that's not because I'm so blind to think a talented LB wouldn't want to go to Ole Miss - it's simply because of how pro-State and anti-OM he's been over the past year and a half or however long it's been. Combo that with us losing our starting LB's and there really isn't a big reason for him not to come to State. He committed to us pre-Diaz - I really don't see why he is so hurt about his departure. If he's concerned about coaching staff stability, how do you rationalize the OM staff as providing that? If they repeat last season, he's likely going to lose than just more than his DC.

Oh well.

I am not sure Coach Mullen is visiting tonight. I believe it is this week.

CJ is a young man that would fit very well with MSU. He will not have a supporting cast at umiss. The bears are lacking returning players and MSU will be very strong in the defensive line and in the secondary. They just need to reload in the linebacker area. CJ fits that and will have some great SEC defensive linemen in front of him.

If he comes to MSU, I will look forward to seeing him play. All the hoopla and partying that went on at umiss is something he will not have time to do if he is serious about academics and playing SEC football. Nutt forgot to tell him that.

I cannot speak to flip flopping on schools but I have gone to sleep next to a woman and when I woke up the next morning, I had done a complete flip flop from the night before.

Beer can make a 5 a 9. A hangover can make a 5 a 2.

my brother goes to ole miss. he didn't know who any of the recruits were before this weekend. he came back from the library (bar) and he knew all of them. they asked for girls so he and his friends found them girls. the only two things he said about cj johnson were:

1. he said "you don't have anything to worry about. i'm coming here"

2. he was running around with condoms hanging out of his mouth

a 45 year old sending a facebook message to him seems like a great idea

Damn everyone on this board needs to stop talking about the recruits. All this negativity towards players is getting old. Why Don't we just keep it classy. Talking bad about recruits will only come back to haunt us. These recruits next year will be front and center with the 2012 recruits. Sure it would be bad to miss out on these players, sure if they go somewhere else we will be disappointed, but anything negative works against us. MSU fans are highly sensitive, probably because of the Newton recruitment last year. Discussing how CJ would be a huge miss compared to Whitehead is stupid. We want both of them. They have the opportunity to come to MSU and play for a championship. Anything negative helps validate TSUN.

One LB does not make a recruiting class however. Next recruiting season will be when we benefit from the 2010 football season. Good luck to CJ and if he changes his mind (if he ever changed it) we will open our arms to him, but there are so many dangers to placing too much emphasis on one player. We have others on our radar and our long term system and coaching will out perform quick fixes. So stop.

Grab the Ole Miss fan's that do this and line them up, as well. Some of these folks are grown men. There is a dude on the Ole Miss Rivals pages that does this. He really doesn't see the problem with it. First and foremost, the coaches @ Ole Miss(and I would assume @ State, as well), HATE it. It interferes with their ability to do their job. Plus, there is no way to really no who people are sometimes.

along with CJ and even Singleton and Brassell if there was a chance we could still get them. CJ is a big need for us because we just lost all of our LBs and he is a dominant player at that position but Whitehead is a very good prospect and I hope he sticks with us despite the talk that he may not.
