Well, that was a game between SEC teams so it's kind of hard to count it in the record against non-SEC teams. Go ahead though, if it makes you feel better. By the way how did Alabama do against its non-SEC opponent in the playoffs?

How could they count? SEC is going 1-1 in that game no matter what. Fact is SEC teams were 0-3 vs P4 teams in the playoffs & 1-whatever in the bowls (only win vs a Michigan team in some disarray). That didn’t exactly scream “good conference.”

We're talking about measuring the SEC against the other conferences. SEC on SEC playoff games, by definition don't provide any data on how the SEC stacks up against other conferences, chiefly the Big Ten.
