and they look more fresh than us. I am beyond worried with this team and I am going to venture to say do not expect anything special this year... maybe a 2 or 3 seed as long as we can win a couple of SEC series and not get swept too many times. I literally can guess either strike out, pop up , or flyout when we have runners in scoring position. Holy Cross starting pitching is better than ours and as I type we quickly have 2 down in the 3rd(two routine grounders to short). Who is this guy pitching for Holy Cross, Cohen missed on him because he is dealing. Where is Holy Cross? Do you think they could win the SEC. I am pretty sure Western Carolina or Memphis will be in the convo for a host come May. oop another lead off hit for Holy Cross. If only Ole Miss had to play our schedule....... hurry up football ...

We weren't "playing a squeeze", we were playing in... with a ball hit in the right spot, it allows the defense to either hold the runner at third or throw him out trying to score. It's a common defensive tactic when you don't want to get down by any more runs than you already are. The downside, obviously, is what you just saw... some balls that would normally be routine outs, get through.
