When was the last time we had the ESPN A team in Starkville for a Saturday night game? Had to be in the 90's. Any way looks like we get Blackledge and Nessler Saturday night. Where is Blackledge going for his tast of the town segment?

Surely, someone will point towards somewhere different. Veranda, maybe?

By the way, I don't like the fact we get the ESPN A team. Only way we beat UF is for them to overlook the game. This time.....there is going to be to many stories to get their attention.......Mullen, the Starkville losing streak, etc. Not to mention, correcting their fumblitis vs UPig will be focused on this week.

i doubt it will have any role in thier motivation. Its nice to be able to use their success to get an "A" crew. What we do with it is on us.

Should we do a poll of where Blackledge should go. I know it may be stupid, but really when was the last time ESPN's Saturday night crew called a game in Starkville? Hell its been since 2005 since we have had a CBS game.

No. However, usually whatever game the A team covers, usually gets more indepth coverage by the WWL. I am sure UFs players watch ESPN. Therefore, the UF players will be educated on UF's history in Starkville. Making it less likely they over look us.

Corch Urban Meyer(sp?) would be the one educating his players.

Maybe Tyler. Starkville needs decent restaurants badly, and not small town MS decent, real food decent.

they like to do like small eclectic places like Little Dooey even though its vastly overrated and ditto on the Veranda I have never been impressed with a meal from there.

you don't know anything about food. It is passable as a place to grab something to eat for it's price range, but I would be really embarrassed if someone tried to pass it off as the best food in town to ESPN. The menu is a major yawner, the "freshest ingredients" line is laughable, and the "chefs" would hardly qualify as cooks in any major metro area. All I'm saying is that Starkville is really behind culinarily once you get above $15 a plate.

for Starkville, it is ok. But you are right. S-Ville is WAY behind on good food establishments....

fun as well.

Edited to say...I haven't been there in a long time. Looks like they have taken the trout off of the menu and they no longer have tastings.

but how well do you really think that $25 a plate restaurants would do in Starkville? Just sayin' that there's probably a good reason that we're behind in this area.

but it's really the only place that fits the mold of the restaurants they go to. I've always been a Petty's guy myself.
