and some of the idiots that comment on Veazey's blog are pissed and want "better opponents". Jesus, im starting to think we have the dumbest fans in college football.

/The move to play instate schools is brilliant.
//Sell some tickets

we won't see nearly the amount of Alcorn fans as JSU fans but it doesn't really matter. their fans traveling is only a plus for us. saving the money on the front end is more important.

i wonder if Alcorn is going to ***** about how much money we pay just like JSU did?

Man do I hate State fans. It's about getting to a bowl.

Our coaches knew no more about our team after we played a super weak JSU team than they did before we played them and we ended up thinking we could do some things against Auburn that we simply couldn`t do. I don`t want to play SoCal the first game but I would like enough competition to help the coaches identify our real strengths and weaknesses so they can make adjustments.

unless they are idiots. We are paying them 10% of their athletic budget

I'm all for the old Arkansas plan. Play four patsys in non-conference games and 2-6 in the SEC gets you to a bowl and gives you a chance to get better and compete for championships every few years.

Arkansas has started to pick up one BCS team in recent years though, but throughout the 90s and early 00s, this is all they did.
