So we went through the entire playbook...

...in 7 or so days? Or that is Les K's intention? (per Veazey)

But in Croom's first full year we didn't even get 50% of the offense in? Heck after TWO years Croom said we still didn't have the entire offense installed. I'm not sure we ever did.

as you want. Then you can install the full West Coast Offense, when that didn't work he treated the team like they were Bama in the 70s. The most ignorant thing I have ever heard him say was when he was talking about running it down LSUs throat. He didn't realize the difference between a bunch of All American DL and LB and our Oline.

had the entire offense installed. It was ridiculous.

Colleges have what? Two weeks of two a days or something like that? Why Croom never decided to trim his playbook down is beyond me. It seems like common sense.

But so is recruiting a QB, o-linemen, WR's, a kicker, and a punter.

Among other things.

was that he always spoke about the extreme difficulty in learning his offense, yet what about the BS bland crap that he ran ever seemed complicated?

was in reference to the playbook that Mullen has for this year's talent level and not Mullen's entire playbook.

From Veazey's blog:
<font face="Georgia">"We're going to have the whole offense in - the offense that pertains to this year's team - that we have," Mullen said. "I'd never be on a team where we'd run our whole offense, I don't think, because it wouldn't fit the personnel we'd have in that given year."
</font>
That bolded statement in Mullen's quote above is just one more thing that proves we made a political hire with the last (we're gonna run this offense talent be dammed) administration.

At least on the level of the offense Crooms said he wanted to install. There was no evidence that we had any offensive strategy. I'm thinking we ran whatever plays Crooms and Woodrow could find on the internet.

It took 5 years for Slytanic to learn Woodrow couldn't or would ever cut it as a so called "offensive" co.

By the time Sly finally figured it out and wanted to hire as fat Auburn re-tred (Borges) the Ninja cut his ***.

Sadly, Croom would still be trying to figure out an offense right now at the practice fields had he not been booted by Byrne.

I really believe the Combo of Sly/Woodrow probably would've gotten out coached in Div.II, I-AA or hell even pee-wee.

How those 2 stooges ever landed a job is beyond me.

THANK YOU BYRNE!!!

They just couldn't stop anybody from scoring, which is odd considering Nebraska's tradition of great defenses.

which culminated in probably the worst D in NU history. Most people forget they had two winning seasons, beat Michigan in a bowl game, and played in the Big 12 Championship game during Cally's tenure. Pellini won 8 regular season games and a bowl game in his first year after this horrible D. Their O was essentially the same. They also have an excellent kicker (see 57 yd FG)

I have to wonder if we would be running the wishbone with Tyler Russell at the helm.
Billy Curry did it with Tim Couch his frosh year, so yeah, probably so.
