Flip started the rumor. We've had more serious conversations with Muschamp.
And that conversation was a 2 minute "yeah - no, i'm good" with Muschamp. Durkin isn't on the radar and is just OM spin on how State could pull a 5*. Burying the real story with fake news so that the real story won't be acknowledged.
Neal won't even have to own up for it just like everything else he's been wrong about the past two weeks.

Word is we might have it done with Durkin Wednesday or Thursday. Could shift Hutzler to Special Teams. Tennessee, Nebraska, and Arkansas could also be in the hunt for Durkin… Banks isn’t fired from UT yet though. And he is extended through 2027 for a hefty check for an assistant
From what was told, I was confident we'd get Durkin if he wasn't offered a HC job, but since his dialogue with us he's been offered a few more DC jobs. We're still in it, but he could pull out.
