I'll give you 3 scenarios that could play out. Share which bowl MSU would go to given the situation. Bonus points if you name the opponent.

1. Least Likely Scenario:
  • MSU, UT, and UF (yes..I know) WIN OUT--putting each team at 6-6. 12 bowl eligible SEC teams.

2. Very Possible Scenario:
  • MSU and UT WIN OUT. Once again, each finishes at 6-6. 11 bowl eligible SEC teams.

3. Most Likely (out of the 3) Scenario:
  • MSU WINS OUT. Finishes at 6-6. 10 bowl eligible SEC teams.

I we became eligible, I honestly wouldn't mind the Birmingham Bowl. I'd like to have one that we can be in and out in one day.

Hmmmm...

Some givens from which to work:
BCSCG: Bama
BCS: Auburn
Cap One/Cotton/Chick Fil A/Outback/Gator: Missouri, TAMU, LSU, USCe, and...Vandy?

Nashville/Shrevport/Memphis/Birmingham are in play.
Ole Miss, Georgia are in. State, Florida and Tennessee possible. Arkansas and Kentucky are out.

Scenario 1. Five teams for four bowls. You got me on this one.
Scenario 2. We go to Birmingham. Play Rutgers. (AAC #4 if UCF goes to BCS)
Scenario 3. We go to Memphis. Play East Carolina. (Winner of CUSA championship game)

Am I close?????

I was looking as well and I came up with pretty much the same thing but there could always be an American team in the liberty as well. They can pick between the two.

Shreveport is last in the pecking order, so we won't be going there if there aren't enough bowl eligible SEC teams. UF isn't beating FSU and I honestly think that Vandy wins at UT and knocks them out of the equation.

If we do go 6-6, I'd be shocked if we play anywhere other than Memphis or Birmingham. I'm thinking that the Music City Bowl probably takes Ole Miss or Georgia over Vandy even if they finish with a worse record.

I'm not sure who gets the first choice between the Liberty Bowl and the BBVA Compass Bowl, but if we win out, I'm thinking that we fill one of those slots and Vandy fills the other.

Shreveport is the most likely tie-in. There will be at least 10 eligible teams, so State can do no better.

But if there is more, State will get picked up by some bowl. Tthe Big 12 cannot fulfiill it's allotment of 7. The American conference can't fulfill it's allotment. And probably others will come available too.

Have a daughter living in Shreveport....suits me. Also, maybe Dakota can have some influence on recruiting north Louisiana that I believe should be a fertile ground for us anyway....life in Starkvegas is similar in many respects to the area between Shreveport and Vicksburg.

Regardless of where we go bowling, I'll be there in full support of team and staff. Let's get it done!

This is easy. Assuming we win out, these are the options:
-If Vandy beats UT Saturday, we go to BBVA Bowl
-If UT beats Vandy, we go to Indy Bowl

ETA- There is 1 highly unlikely scenario where UGA loses to UK and GT leaving them 6-6. Nashville could have the choice of us or them and for some unknown reason they spurn UGA. I don't see anyway that happens though.

Did you not bother reading the tread? There are already 9 teams bowl eligible. Indy has the 10 (last) pick. If UT beats Vandy, we're at-large.

Do what? Florida has no prayer at bowl eligibility so I spit balled 2 and 3. You follow? If we play in the BBVA it will be vs Rutgers, Indy will be UNC.

If found my error. I didn't factor in the National championship game. But consequently, these scenarios scenario also depends on an SEC team playing for the NC.

So to answer the question, no he didn't read it since #2 has nothing to do with Florida.

Jesus. That's why I did 2 and 3 b/c number 1, which includes Florida, ain't happening. I don't understand why you 2 are struggling to get this. It isn't complicated.
