Money? Scholarships? Location? All the above? What ever the separation is it can't be by much. If North Dakota State or James Madison played in the Big Ten West I think they could win the division.
Would probably beat the Broncos then go on to win the Super Bowl by widest margin ever in NFL history.Money? Scholarships? Location? All the above? What ever the separation is it can't be by much. If North Dakota State or James Madison played in the Big Ten West I think they could win the division.

You actually mentioned one of the (many) things that does separate a FCS team from a FBS...scholarship limits. FCS schools can only give out 63 full schollies...thus, even if they could recruit at an elite level (which none come close to doing) they would be the equivilant of a FBS team under severe sanctions. Sure in a one game scenario FCS have been known to occasionally knock off some teams but over the course of a full season, in a p5 conference, they would get worn down to nothing.Money? Scholarships? Location? All the above? What ever the separation is it can't be by much. If North Dakota State or James Madison played in the Big Ten West I think they could win the division.

So now Bo Pelini has a team that could win the Big 10 west with YSU with this logic but he couldn't do it here more than once during his tenure? Ok.
This is like saying Alabama could go to the NFL and make the playoffs. Come on man.

Uhhhh the one DE is familiar to the average Husker Fan.
No, just no. Why do people like to make these ridiculous predictions about how lower level teams could win at a higher level? There's a little bit of difference between pulling off an upset now and then against an FBS team and competing against them week after week with less talent and fewer scholarships. If these teams could compete at the major conference FBS level, then why aren't they moving up and why aren't they getting major conference invites? And where are all of the former FCS(or I-AA) teams who have made successful transitions to the FBS level? I can think of one-Boise State, and it even took them several years to get going at the FBS level.Money? Scholarships? Location? All the above? What ever the separation is it can't be by much. I guess for an easy comparison think like a bigger class football team taking on a smaller class football team in high school.
a letter? So what seperates a FBS team from FCS team?
not to mention a few female convenience store clerks in the Lincoln area
