So which recruiting site hates us?

I think Rivals traditionally rates MSU commits the lowest. The trend I see with 247 is that they give out higher ratings on average than any other network. There seems to be the most 4 & 5 stars there. I look at it like a better business model. It's easier for sheep to get excited about a network who consistently make borderline guys low 4's than high 3's. Sadly, that extra point giving them an extra star makes too many adults act like they just ingested Viagra.
That's a really good point. These networks could have 300 5-stars whereas Rivals hands out 50. No one really knows the difference.
I don't know why people have trouble with this concept. I guess they're just slow.
Seems like the (individual) ratings go up for State during the summer evaluation period at 247 and Scout. Then they go back down the closer it gets to signing day. But I guess there's some legitimacy to it, since one can look at the final product at all-star competitions.
^^^^This^^^^ As for the point about more 3 stars than previously, I think there should be since its the middle rating. Players picking up offers from decent Div. 1 schools should probably get 3 stars. However, it does appear that there are more 4 stars than usual. Looking at the different sites, 247 seems to have the most active scouting network of analysts to me. Those guys are at the combines/camps/7-on-7's and tweet about various recruits constantly. Rivals doesn't update very often and to me seems less active.
