So who do we pitch tonight?

I think I'd go with Woodruff. You might get lucky and he might finally start to live up to the hype. And, to be honest, after 30 long innings of baseball in the last 3 days, I'd really just as soon go ahead and lose this game so we don't have to start piling up the innings on pitchers on Saturday.

Let Woodruff pitch until we get mercy ruled and let the young guys play. We don't have a snowballs's chance now that we used up all of our pitchers last night.

Our best shot was Ross being able to pitch at least 8 innings last night and then being able to piece together games with the other guys. There are no other guys left now.

I think when Preston Brown came into the game last night, it was a pretty clear sign that Cohen feels the same way. He put all our eggs in that basket figuring if it works, we get a day off and if not we can just use Woody and a couple of the freshmens who haven't pitched yet, play 7 and go home.

Hell Renfroe supposedly can pitch in the high 80's/low 90's. Let him finally on the mound.

I figure Cohen knows that Brown can't be trusted to start a game next week, so we might as well get him some work out of the pen this week to see how he handles it.

The leadoff double then wild pitch wasn't exactly what we were looking for, I'm sure...

I think last night showed that our starters next week are Laster, Ross, and Fitts, in no particular order.

It

has got to be Woody, you would think. It's frustrating, but I guess it can be a good thing when you have to rely on someone with his talent as a last resort. It sure would be nice if things all of a sudden clicked.
