So who should we pitch tonight?

Lindgren? Bracewell? Someone else? I'm kind of hoping to see Bracewell get the start. I've lost all confidence in Lindgren.

I'm pretty sure everybody on the staff could give us something, if needed. I also wouldn't be surprised if Holder came in, in the 5th or 6th.

Eta: It will probably be either Bracewell or Lindgren.

Agreed. I expect to see Holder for at least 2 innings and wouldn't be surprised at all to see him get 4. I think Bracewell to start, then Girado/R. Mitchell, then Holder.

I want to see Lindgren, because if he doesn't start - he isn't going to pitch. Having said that, I also want to see Lindgren throwing balls right down the middle. I know that sounds odd, but in the 5 games I've watched them play at DNF this year, I think they've only hit one ball against the wall (last night). Lets pitch to contact with these guys and the let the D play behind us.

When you only score 2 runs on only 4 hits, defense wasn't the only problem.

holder has had 2 of his worst appearances against UCA

they lay off the high fastball and don't chase the curve

Not so sure he is going to be very effective tonight
We better hope Mitchell is ready, again

I can't argue that, but I don't think we let'm swing for the fences and hope our

defense comes to play.

I'll be surprised if it's not Bracewell. As much as our coaches like matchups, I think they'll go with the righty to start and see how far he goes.

I agree, but we'll get better contact tonight. We have to. My biggest concern with Lindgren is that he walks people (18 walks and 7 HBP in 56 innings). As noted, these guys don't chase out of the zone very often. If he doesn't get the ball over the plate, he'll be in a world of pain in a hurry. We can't afford an early inning where they have the bases loaded and no outs without hitting a ball out of the infield.

Lets pitch to contact with these guys, and make them earn their hits by putting balls in the outfield. I know they're athletic, but we've got to stop giving them chances.

I'm OK with Lindgren starting, but with a very short leash. Can't afford to wait until we are down two runs to switch to Bracewell, he needs to be ready to enter the game as soon as UCA gets runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs. I don't care if its the first inning.

He definitely needs to pitch to contact. I think Frazier will be error free tonight. Lazy isn't the right word,, the guy just goes out of his way sometimes to TRY and look non-chalant on the routine throws. The attempted wrist flip from 2nd base last night was a prime example. I'm hoping last night embarassed him enough that he'll buckle down the rest of the postseason and not take any play for granted.

I expect so see mainly RHP. We'll see Girodo if there's a key lefty matchup. I would see how Graveman is feeling today. If he can throw, I'd shoot for 3 innings a piece from Graveman, Bracewell, and Holder with the exception of 1 out from both Girado and Ross if a lefty is up in the right situation.

I gotta think the key tonight is.........

Hitting!!! If we don't score runs and score early we may be in trouble again. It is a must to put pressure on Central Arkansas, we haven't done that after 5 games with them.

I just don't think pitching wins this game tonight, but that's just me.
