So why are we practicing Sidney again?

just said they couldn't certify him as eligible yet. A ruling of ineligible would mean they have made the decision.
Is it necessarily a bad thing that Jarvis gets to practice against another big man everyday in practice ? Elgin is still out and I am sure there is a large difference in talent between Wendell and Renardo
I am sure practicing everyday is also in Sidney's best interest to keep him in better shape

...maybe instead of letting Sidney run around, we could get Wendell Lewis some minutes with the first time, since we are going to be rail thin in the post early on.
...why get your guys used to running up and down the court with somebody who is not going to be running with them in games?
I could be wrong but I don't think Sidney will be running with the 1st team. He will just be practicing with the team. Now I think it will be important for him to know the plays in case they rule him eligible for this year. Long shot I know, but I would rather have him practicing than not.
..is if they surrender the bank statements. And since the bank statements show things that the family don't want shown, they won't surrender them. Other than that, it's via court injunction which I hope we are smart enough to avoid.

or is just blowing smoke up our ***. I heard him with my own ears a couple of weeks ago in Memphis say teh NCAA has nothing on Sidney, and he is expecting to have him at this point. If they had anything, they would have ruled him out already according to the guy that should know.
I think you are alone on this one. If he can help Jarvis with practicing against bigger players, so be it. I highlight doubt Stansbury calls the "Sidney Motion" play during practice.
I hope he practices all year if he doesn't play. It's the same reason why college girls basketball teams usually have guys that practice against them. They want to practice against people who will make them better.

I don't think Wendell Lewis will see the floor much this year, except for in practice. He is a Freshmans you know...[b said:
And they've made a specific ruling that he's not certified. It's not a pending matter. The case is closed. If Sidney sends additional information later (like there's a chance in hell he's going to do that), they have said they'll reopen the case, but right now it is closed.</p>
What the NCAA really said as reported in the LA Times:
"...the organization has declared the Mississippi State freshman "not certified due to non response," an NCAA spokeswoman told The Times on Thursday.

The same report went on to say:
Mississippi State submitted a notice of appeal to the NCAA, which will allow Sidney to practice with the team and sit on the bench during home games. Without being certified, Sidney cannot travel with the team, Osburn said.
That's how they are able to practice him.
