I am really shocked that players would be beginning to wear thin of Cohen

I hope others don't follow that lead ... without all of these .200 hitters returning next year, not sure how we would survive

I hope you forgot the asterisk.. Casey has earned his PT yet blockhead keeps writing Jared Lorenzen in the lineup.

I actually think the original Pillsbury Throwboy would hit better than Rea has these past few weeks.

that Casey was going to transfer after the year was over.

We have too many middle infielders like him anyway- that can't hit.

I am shocked ... how would anyone think that??

Casey is better than half of tonight's starting lineup

Hasn't the best player on the team Chris Stratton teased that he might would like to return to the team? I know first round money or even 2nd round will probably drawl him away. Now why on earth would the best player who is guaranteed to get drafted this year very high say he would like to return to play another year with the worst coach in the conference?

Stratton's not coming back. I don't know who told you he might but he's gonna be a top 50 pick, he's gone.

A lot of it has to do with leverage in negotiations, but I think most of it is just for show and saying the right thing when being asked. All three of our signees who are projected top 50 picks, all say the right things about college, but none of them will show up.

How many times has Cohen called on him to pinch hit, then tell him to sit back down after a pitching change? Good strategy or not, that's just coldhearted.</p>

Show me a team, any team, that does not have someone transfer out almost every year. A couple of players leaving every year does not equate to the team not respecting the coach. Is Cohen tough, I guess so, but if you get your ****** chaffed over a tough coach then sports is not for you. Hell watch any documentary on Vince Lombardi, and you will see that his players F-ing hated him while they played. I've never really understood why some of you want to run on here to defend every whiny player that wants to leave instead of focusing on the 99% that want to stay. Sports at this level are competitive, Cohen does not have to play everybody like a little league game, and the ones that can't crack the lineup will usually leave and go on to have a below average career at D2.

Stratton himself has said he's thinking about coming back. Although I do agree with you, he'll be gone.

players transfer when the coach is a hardass like Cohen and players transfer when a coach has no accountability from his players like Stansbury. And they transfer on every type of coach in between especially if they don't see a great opportunity for playing time.

While the season is going on he's gotta say those things, but he would lose a ton of money coming back and he's not gonna do that.

Guys,<div>
</div><div>You can rail me if you want, but I don't care how bad it is, you never quit on your team in the middle of the year. I will never knock on a player, that isn't an everyday player, for quitting or transferring after a season. However, if this is true, it shows a lack a character and commitment. I don't care how bad you hate your coach, you should never quit on your teammates while the season is ongoing. In fact, if this is true, I would possibly go as far to say that many of his current playing time problems could be, in part, related to the same attitude that would bring him to quit on his team in the middle of the season. Lack of commitment, lack of understanding his role, thinking he is bigger than the team, and not buying in.</div>

I don't advocate quitting on the team this late, but he hasn't really gotten a chance and the two people playing ahead of him are batting .198 and .157 respectively. <div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"></div>

I hear you, and that sounds like a great reason to quit or transfer after the season, but you still don't quit on your teammates during the season. Furthermore, there isn't a coach on Earth that doesn't want to win. Due to that, I believe that Cohen is playing the players that he feels like gives MSU the best chance to win.

I would venture to say that going into the season he knew EXACTLY what his role was, to redshirt. Its only been the disastrous injury situation that has hit our team that has forced guys like Fullerton and Casey to be playing at all. This quitting or transferring has to be much more about him just not jiving with Cohen and him not seeing a lot of opportunity for future playing time than anything to do with his role THIS season.

I mean what do we have left like one weekend series and a handful of tournament games? Pretty pathetic not to just wait until the season was over.
