I wouldn't be worried about our euro club players not being on this list...now if they're not there for the Belgium game, they need to start worrying about their spot.

I'm not a big fan of Dempsey anyway, he is too flashy. If he would just go out and play ball I think he could bea very good player but he tries to dance and do too much when simplicity is the answer.

I read a week or so ago that Holden is back training with Bolton but probably won't return to live action until Sept. or early Oct. From what I read, he's had no complications or setbacks but they are taking it cautiously.

I like Dempsey but I'm sure they are giving him a rest from the international duty right at the beginning of the EPL season. It seems like Klinsmann is going to give a lot of the guys playing in Mexico a look. I was a little surprised to see Damarcus Beasley in the call-up, but would love to see him step up and be counted. He still has great wheels and pretty decent skill. Have no idea how he's doing in the Mexican league though.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Altidore. I've lost faith in him. He seemed to do well in the Confed Cup a couple of years ago playing with Charlie Davies but look lost playing solo up top. Hope Davies makes it back eventually as well.

I'm not worried about not having Dempsey. We all know what he can do, and with Fulham's upcoming games he does more for the USMNT if he plays well for Fulham.
I'm also glad to see us using more strike options than Altidore. He really hasn't impressed me much besides the lesser CONFACAF opponents.

I am dissapointed to see Adu agian. I have lost faith in him. I know he had two decient games, but I'm not ready to see him in a starting line up yet.
I assume that the reason Davies hasn't been picked yet is for some kind of punishment placed down by USSF? I would like to see him given another chance, and surly he will once it gets closer to qualifications.

On Dempsey and Altidore: Deuce was rested by Fulham through their Euro League qual rounds, there's no reason we should bring him for this. He's the 2nd best player in the squad and possibly ever, and may overtake LD as current best player if LD continues his poor international form, such as at the Gold Cup. I'm hoping that was simply related to illness. For Jozy, he needs to get started with his club season, there is no benefit to bring him in against Mexico. Both of those guys need the rest and the start with their club teams. I don't think there is any doubt as to whether he will be here for relevant matches.

Adu's selection is great. If we continue the 4-2-3-1 as is expected with Klinsmann, he is one of the playmakers in the middle. Some seem to forget he's just 22. He has alot of development left and he has made huge strides since he was first capped. He won't beat out a healthy Holden at this point, but he would be a great change of pace off the bench.

I like the selection of Hamid, I'd also like to see Sean Johnson. Its obvious that Klinsmann is going towards more athletic GKs. However, Timmy is the clear No. 1 until after 2014.

I hope Chandler starts out wide. I'd also like to see a permanent move of Boca to CB. It would be nice to see Pearce as a CB at the international level, which is what he's been doing lately in MLS. Ream has a long way to go, I fear he's going to be another Bornstein.

Beasley is a hole filler. Torres is getting another shot, deservedly so. I expect Edu to get some more time ahead of Jones, and it would be nice to see how Shea performs in an attacking role, he has been money in MLS this year.

I'm a Dallas supporter, and he's by far my favorite player. As you said, he's been insane in the MLS, but that doesn't always translate to being good internationally.

although I'd like to see Herc Gomez as another Mexican league player taking on the Mexicans (God I hate that team). It looks like Chandler is out with a slight knee issue so Klinsi probably has another call to make. And it will be interesting to see how much time Bradley gets now that pappa is gone and he hasn't seen much first-team action this past year in Europe. He's still a stalwart on the team.

Looks like a little of the Latin flair Klinsmann spoke about (Orozco--I didn't know he was still playing). Would enjoy seeing Beasley return to his prior form playing against the Mexicans. But, Mexico is bringing another strong team and, sadly, will probably have more fans in the stands--fukem.

Seriously? He was arguably our best player on the field (form-wise) the last two games. He played very well in both and was the initiator of at least 2 goals. And now you want him gone? Dude is 22 years old, and he is finally showing flashes of what we hoped for all along.

I watched beckerman play a couple years ago maybe in the u23 games and he was awesome in the middle. I've been wandering why he was never given a shot and then I remembered that bob bradley sucked. I'm pumped to see him out there controlling the middle.

beckerman is too quick to pull the trigger and waste opportunities the times i've watched him with the USMNT.

beasley is probably thereas a role model for some of these younger guys considering he's been through a lot fo up and downs and was quite young when calledup. i still expect amultiple goal defeat with this kind of club but it will be nice to see what Klinsmannwill do strategery wise, his first time out.
