My soccer problem is this; I've been a ManU fan since before they were popular*, but I hate being on the "bandwagon"...thank you MSU for not winning 5 straight national titles. I'm afraid I'd be torn...I do, however, feel like I could tolerate 4 straight if you'd like to start soon.

Nothing wrong

with that. Man U's has always had an extremely professional club, under Ferguson. It'll be interesting to see how Moyes continues. Giggs was always one of my favorite players, growing up. Roy Keane, Schmeichel (sp?), Scholes, Solksjaer, and Cole were all favorites too. I remember that 99 CL final was amazing. I've still got it on VHS.

For some inexplicable reason, people hate winners.

I don't hate winners, I hate the stereotypical "bandwagon fan", particularly when it comes to EPL, and really when I know that they couldn't spell soccer 10 years ago and now they pepper every conversation with "pitch" and "boots" and a twinge of accent. I love the game, but I'm sticking with field and cleats. Rednecking up EPL soccer for 20+ years now...

Nah. Really not much of a baseball fan. Hard to love America's Pastime and the communist sport I suppose. Otherwise I consider myself 100% 'merican redneck; in the best possible way of course, not in the derogatory flag and bumper sticker way...

I'd say

most soccer fans you or I know would be (relatively) considered bandwagon fans, unless you live overseas.
